Leeds Medicine Year 1: What To Expect!
Hi Everyone :) ! In this video, I talk about the structure of year 1, studying medicine at leeds medical school.
Just as a small note, there is a module called C2C which involves looking at the ethical and legal side of medicine however the medical school are currently in a stage where they are revamping that module so I did not talk about it explicitly however I did mention some of the aspects it has through the community placements

WHO AM I
My name is Nafi, I am a medical student at the University of Leeds in my second year. I am vlogging my time at university during the pandemic to show how uni life is like when there are restrictions placed in the city. what grades did you get at a level and waht was th application process like ?

@@zammadali2681 I got A*AAA (Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry) and the application process was okay. Hardest part has to be the entrance exam in my opinion, the rest was relatively easy.

There are quite alot of mature students and graduates in my year (alot more than you'd initially expect) so I'm sure you won't be the only one when you arrive! and thanks! :)
What is the the IMS assessment like is it a mixture of multiple choice, essays and such?

So IMS for me was a number of multiple choice tests. After each set of topics, you will have a summary test which will benchmark where you are. At the end of the year, you need to have achieved a minimum percentage which is calculated using that specific cohort's results

Are your lectures recorded in medicine at leeds?

It's a mix of live and prerecorded. All live lectures are recorded to watch when you want afterwards and you get copies of all lecture and tutorial slides

How to get in university leeds in medicine from india

I'm assuming you're asking how to get in to Leeds medicine from India 🇮🇳 1. Do your relavent prerequisite exams (A level Equivalent) 2. Apply as a foreign applicant (I'm not sure if this is through UCAS or not) 3. Do the BMAT 4. Interview if selected 5. Wait for the offer!
I know this a really silly questions but do you get a specification to refer to during all years of study Obviously the osces most likely has one but I mean module wise I guess 😁
