@@scottthompson6504 haha nope my dad is a die hard man utd fan. Used to literally fight for his club lol
I used to love watching Sharpe i must admit. As an Evertonian seeing him kill us a few times in front of my eyes its hard to deny how good he was.
La gioia di ogni gol di Lee sono la felicità del calcio ⚽ il gol di tacco al Barca è una chicca da antologia...Peccato che la sua carriera si sia interrotta troppo presto... Rimane una leggenda dello United
England complaining in the 90’s that they never had any left footed wingers yet the quality of Lee Sharpe. The boy should have been a superstar if he was handled better by Fergie and by England. Career fell of a cliff at around 27. Such a waste. Lovely footballer.
Lee was a very good player. When he was on his game he was a handful or any player and any team. He had a great spark. Great ability, speed and posed great danger. Seems to have been largely forgotten - it’s a pity. Quality player in one of the best teams Utd has ever had
When Haaland, Messi, Mbappe and Neymar start doing what Hughes, McClair, Sharp and Robson did on pitches like the ones in this video then I'll start believing they are the best players ever

I watched him at Wembley playing for England against either Poland or Denmark it was at the beginning of Terry Venables management, he played really well his pace was amazing, very sad his career didn't have the longevity it could of
I met him at collingham with my dad playing football then he joined us! And he teaches me skills!
I remember him he showed great promise but never really lasted as long as giggs scholes and the rest and his career faded the later into his twenties he got

leon paul: it was well known and documented that Lee Shape was a party boy. He was never going to last long with SAF in charge. It was a real shame to see him turn out for a poor Sampdoria side in Italy. L. Sharpe could have been way better than that. He was a real exciting player. The type I'd sometime pretend to be while playing with your mates in the park/street.

@@ihateyoumother-fucker3204wrong he wasn't a party boy meningitis played a big part in putting him out
Pushed out of his left wing slot by Giggs, his right wing slot by Beckham and still managed to win a load and play so well. Pity injuries ruined the second half of his career.
Wow! Was that a tackle I saw at 1.09? That would have gone to VAR these days, at least a yellow, the forward would have rolled about 6 times screaming. How nice to see that - it was Mark Hughes of course who wouldn't know how to react to a genuine injury never mind know how to actually fake one - he was a class act. We talk about the press these days, he used to do it on his own lol and attack whole defences and teams. There were some divers around those days of course but a lot less than there are now
Such a shame that he was distracted by the bright lights! It was terrible seeing him go to Leeds!
Brilliant winger/midfielder/left back. Sharpes speed, passing ability & composure in front of goal was world class. He could have had a career like Giggs & Ronaldo, if he kept himself in check.
"Ah but footballers now are much more tactically and physically advanced they would crush any team pre 2010's/2000's" lol
Sharpy also knew how to celebrate scoring a goal
Perfect hat trick v Arsenal in a 6-2 think Danny Wallace also scored in a midweek rumbelows league cup tie ! 7 shirt on the night I was about 14 at the time ( magic ) midweek sports special
Greate footballer of 90s in the MU
I'm only here for the Sharpey Shuffle!
It just goes to show that not only can Sharpie cross a ball but can put one away too. Sharpie and giggsy were best mates too.
i feel like this guy would have been better than giggs if his career had had the longevity - what a player!
Was a brilliant player. So underrated.
Played a huge part to light up United' s 1990-91 campaign. nice lad, if only Sir Alex can be a wee bit softer and Lee has better luck with injuries and illness. Could have made a difference in England's 1992 Euro, 1994 WC, 1996 Euro and 1998 WC campaigns
I actually liked this Utd era and these sides more
god bless you tube
Would have gone down as world class if he wasn't such a party boy.
And now we have the current shower . . .
Please do mark hughs all goals for Manchester United!!!
When you didn't have pay a fortune to watch the national game
I'm just amazed how the footage is so blurry and bad when I've seen clearer and better footage from the 50s and 60s
He still owes me a signed pack of man utd player cards from when I was 13years old- long story , used to see watch him at torquay b4 he signed and he lived nxt to my old school teacher in ellacombe. Remember him saying to me n a mate " do u know who I am ? , just signed for utd " course I knew but suppose he was young at the time n I'd probably of bragging too 😂
Better than Giggs. Too many injuries and too much partying. Still a club legend.
Probably the best winger Manchester United ever had. Strangely short career just seemed to disappear off the radar.

Players are shite now our age could play on anything. These days they can run and that's it their footballing skill and brain not the same
Didn't he get another assist in this game 4:58 QPR away 92/93 when Ince scored overhead kick albeit from a shot from Sharpe that turned into an assist.

Welcome to untd
Plaese Ronaldo all assists for man utd
You forget how horrendous some of the pitches they used to play on were...
Actually his carrier wasn’t stopped by partying. He contracted meningitis and missed a chunk of the season and when he came back fergies fledglings had taken over and he was never the same after. Sad but true.
Wand of a left foot.
Fergie should play him at cm..he got e touch, skill n football brain..kind of guti..
No 27 tho 😙👌

Blew his career away, threw it away. Girls and drink silly boy and trying to get Ryan Giggs to Party was his downfall because he was being closely watched and wrapped in cotton wool. What a waste and he could have been at the top for another ten years on top of what he did do. He isnt the first and wont be the last. Great player.

I fucking loved Lee Sharpe as a kid, was absolutely gutted at the time wen Giggs came on the scene. Giggs ended up taking Corners from Sharpe aswel as his number 11 shirt. Still think although Giggs the better player Sharpe had a way better left foot.
