Singapore airlines pilots are paid from 10k to 20k per months. So how is the pay not satisfactory?! Just greedy.

Some see LKY's willingness to put down these strikes as an unfair advantage and further confirms that LKY is a dictator. I strongly disagree. LKY is no fan of violence or civil unrest. He belives that there is a proper way to do everything. The hidden danger of civil disobedience is that it motivates people with malicious intents to also use violence and civil disobedience for their goals. This is why LKY said that he is willing to talk to the SIA pilots if they stopped the strike.

A good dictatorship is far better than a corrupted democracy. Mr. Lee, my idol ..... you proved it.

Hi..I used to be a consultant in warehouse and logistic industry. my past experiences working with Sporeans in many projects usually doesn't end in good tune with them..I don't like them doesn't mean I hate them. let me put it this way ..I present and show them certain facts they say its rubbish..the same exact infor presented by my boss who is an Dutch they say its excellent.,hahaha...some how Sporeans make me felt they are more intelligent and superior then all Asians...that's my personal view on work issues..I do have good Sporeans friends till now .. Im semi retired...btw all my relatives on my mother side are Sporeans..lol..I hope I did not offend anyone. If I do please accept my apologies..

Lim Eric i understand why malaysians hate singaporeans mostly due to us being like superior or we think that we are too good but same thing happened to malaysians too back in the day when singapore was poor and our currency was way lower than malaysia’s currency and you guys look down on us and clown our country and thus the merger did not happened as what LKY was planning too...honestly we were really humbled people back then

You expect the airline to be world class, you believe the airline to be world class, you even advertise it to be so, so why is everyone opposed to the idea that these SQ pilots should be paid on the upper end of industry salary scales? A pilot undertakes full responsibility for the safety of everyone onboard. If an airline thinks flight crew are cheap and dispensable pieces of machinery, then it does not think the safety of it's passengers rank very highly on its list of priorities. Mr LKY did a great job into making everyone believe that SQ pilots should accept what the company wants to offer and not what the industry standards are. Fast forward to today in 2023 and the airline is looking to hire foreign Captains, to which they have no choice but to match industry salaries otherwise few would come and work in Singapore where the housing and cost of living are astronomical, never mind the fact that there is a global shortage of pilots. The government and the business community is always seeking to exploit people. Whether they are healthcare workers, construction labour workers, F&B service staff, or airline pilots there is a constant theme here. The world is a depressing state if you are on the wrong side of the equation.

Even If you want to cross sword with his successors, prepare well in advance and base on facts. Argue your case without jeopardizing Singapore. They will listen to reasons.
