I've been reloading for about 10 years. But not for the last couple of years Due to a lack of time and scarcity of components. I've started reorganizing my equipment and hope to get back into it again. Thought I should watch a few videos to refresh myself on the process. Your video was a lot of help. I use the Lee Hand Press also. Mostly because of limited available space. Once I get things organized again, my reloading kit fits in a medium size toolbox that I can through in the trunk of my car and use it wherever I want. Very handy. Thank for your help getting this old guy back in the saddle.

Not a problem I enjoy single stage reloading. I too have slowed down on reloading due to prices and components issue. I need to get back into it full force like I use to. Need to make another video of my shotgun slugs.

I share your frustration with scales and erratic readings. I had a setup that was under an overhead a/c duct. When the a/c was on my readings were all over. When off they were stable. People opening doors coming in or out cause problems too. I ended up using a flat granite block wiped down with a drier sheet (scale and pan too) that i checked for level both left to right and near and far(90 degrees apart). After that even dipping a charge with the powder scoops and carding off the top of the scoop level seems to be very repeatable for charge weight. It’s hard to beat a balance beam scale for accuracy. Any fans moving air around can cause issues with the small charge weights pistol rounds require. Good demo of the hand press. Keep loading!!!

I love my lee hand press. I load all sorts of rifle and revolver calibers with mine. Semi auto pistol calibers like 9mm and 40 S&W I reload on a turret press. Nice video! I do a few reloading videos on my channel showing me reloading with the lee hand press.

Good video, I was planning on making a similar range kit and was in the process of writing down everything that I’d need to put in a kit like this. You gave me a couple of ideas on some other items to pack. Nothing worse than getting to the range and missing an essential tool and having to pack up and go home. I was planning on using a small pack for my kit. Subscribed

Yeah I used this kit to load some subsonic 147g 9mm. The part that sucks is having to either buy another set of dies for my turret press or adjust my dies again.

With those little cheapy scales. I trust but verify. I cut a test weight about 6 gns and every few loads I check that it always weighs the same. I've had good luck with a $17 Homgeek.

Cool video. It looks like you're exerting a lot of force to decap and size a straight walled cartridge. I normally decap off the press (bottle next rifle cartridges..223 6.5 etc)and was wondering if most of the force is for the resize or the decapping function??

@@alwaysreloading288 appreciate the fast reply. I’ve never reloaded pistol rounds but use the cheapest lee c press that’s like 50 for 223 reloads and it’s not too bad for them. I just wanted to be able to spend some more time with my wife and less in the reloading room so I figured pick one of these up to resize while watching tv lol. I already de prime and prime with off the press tools (Frankfort arsenal) so resizing and seating are the only thing I would use it for. Thank you again.
