Lee Bulge Buster Kit / English version

Спорт

In this Video I Show you the Lee Bulge Buster for reloaders. With this Special tool you can remove the bulge at most cases which is caused by an gun with no fully supported chamber. Normaly you can not remove those bulges with your regular sizing die but with the Lee Bulge Buster it's easy to reload this ammo fired from such handguns.

Another added benefit is that this process also trues up the side of the case head where dings from aggressive extractor claws, bouncing off rough concrete and being walked on, can cause issues.

Wonderful video using the Lee Bulge Buster Kit. I had discovered this subject several months back and this answered the question about the 'bulge' on some brass that I was reloading. Probably some range brass that I picked up to compensate for some that I couldn't retrieve from the range I would question why did you not slide the empty case over the plug so it is going backside first. This is the way the first video I watched showed how to use it. By doing it this way you don't have to hold onto the casing. For loaded ammo with the 'bulge' with a live primer you would have to be very careful. Primers are very sensitive. But thanks for the video. Well Done.

Majeskty Thank you very much for leaving a comment buddy. I never tested to push the case through the die over the plug...

Don't forget to remove both the crimping sleeve and adjusting screw from the factory crimping die before installing the new guide sleeve.

I found that by rubbing fingers on a candle them rubbing the wax on the case they will glide right through . It dont take much at all .

380 bulge buster also works very well to fix the rim of 223/556 cases! sometimes brass fired from machineguns or run through some reloading presses can squash the rim and make it out of spec.

What is the purpose of the factory crimp die? I always thought since the brass passed through the bulge buster that it would just screwed directly into the press and you would force the brass through it like a Lee lead bullet sizing die.

The factory crimp die removes the bulge...die Bulge Buster is a way to catch the finished brass only. I start doing this opperation with the crimp die only the first time...it works but you have to catch flying brass ;-) With the Bulge Buster Kit it's a clean and easy way.

Great vid as always, I didn't even know about that die, a friend has a full auto MAC10 that bulges the brass real bad, we could reuse it instead of throwing it away now. Thanx a lot for the info, PS: what dimension do you resize your lead 45 bullets ?

Thanks brother. My 45 bullets are sized to .452. Works best in my handguns (Glock 21 with IGB Barrel) and in the 1911 of my Buddy.

It can be made a little easier by adjusting the die up till the ram just pushes the case through the sizing section of the die... Theres more leverage towards the end of the stroke of the press handle :-)
