I'm the same way my fiance is always trying to help me out with it. I feel like I'm hard to love. I struggle with my depression anxiety and autism. Sometimes being hard to love is a sign that you need more help. I know the struggle with depression its hard on not just you but those who love you and appreciate you. Time to stop closing doors and start opening them up

I understand how you feel! I’ve put a gun to my head multiple times… it feels like something is missing in me I think it has something to do with the fact I never had a father and it’s been destroying me for years!!! My wife still loves me after all that we have been through. For that I am truly grateful. This last but present thing we are going through has made me pull my head out of my @$$. I can't believe it got here but the fact that the love is still there is the best feeling ever. I do not take it for granted and can't imagine being with someone else or without her. I plan to renew our wedding vows and give her all the love I couldn't before. To the person that wrote this post. Your are a wonderful person. To those who remain sorry for you do not understand some people's lives and love. It's easy to judge and weigh someone's scenario but you have to live and feel it to understand that some people are worth loving. I feel truly blessed to have found faith and still have that love. Man I never knew how much I would grow to relate to this song. Used to hate it, skip the station. Now I am living it. All my PTSD, anxiety, IED, I can’t believe a Jesus loving woman would be by my side and love me through all my pain and torment. I indeed am so, hard to love. Hate to admit it. Never knew that bad things happening to me would make me so selfish. I just want to protect myself is all. It’s a hard battle I fight everyday every hour. I never forget I have to choose to avoid pain.

Found out Kyle Jacobs wrote this!! He just died to suicide today!! He was very talented and it sounds like he struggled with some things.. but appreciated the love he received from Kellie!! So tragic and sad. This is a great song with a powerful message many of us can relate to!! I hate it that he has now lost his life to suicide. The stigma has got to end. We’re losing way too many people!!

I'm so sorry for your lost I don't even know you and your wife and I'm crying I don't know why god let's some live and takes others. I know that when he let's the one's live we have a testimony that we need to share our stories with the other's. My prayers to you and your family that you heal from your lost I dont know why your wife passed but she's in the most wonderful place she can be.

One of the most honest songs about how imbalanced most relationships are. He’s basically saying I don’t need you, but I love that you love and put up with me. Then, the “I’m just a man” to top it with a cherry. Great song! Lol

That is still one of my favorite records of this century. Lee is an awesome guy, great singer and monster writer and artist. It's been a few years since we were co-writers at Curb but I'm a huge fan nonetheless.

I think we are all hard to love in one way or another, But we all deserve to be loved always......
