It’s ‘cause she uses mixed voice a lot, so she has to project them, because those high notes don’t belong in her tessitura.

Ledisi is a BEAST! I'm not gone pretend like I always knew of her. I knew of her after that Patti Tribute on BET. Then, I heard her a few places, & heard Claude Kelly talking about helping do her album "Pieces of Me", & after a while decided to give it a listen, which was cemented after hearing "Pieces of Me" on the radio. AIN'T NOT DAMN REASON WHY SHE BE SANGIN LIKE THAT! Don't make no SENSE AT ALL.
