I'm going straight into my audio interface. I'm using the Two Notes Genome plugin to load a Marshall Super Bass capture. I used another plugin to add some plate reverb.

How does it stack up against the Gibson LP?

My Les Paul Studio is much heavier than the Maybach. I preffer the Maybach's slim taper neck shape to the odd ball 2016 Gibson which is a bit wider. The Gibson Burstbuckers have a midrange roar to them whilst the '59 pickups in the Maybach are lower output and more scooped. Both sounds are great but a little different. I'm thinking of replacing the Maybach's pickups with some Bareknuckles and putting the '59 pickups in a hollow body. Before I bought the Maybach i played many Gibson standards, Eastmans and Maybachs back to back and I preffered both the Eastman SB-59v and Maybach Lester to the Gibsons. Altough all three are great guitars, with Gibson you are paying a €1000 euro's more, basicly for the brand. The Gibsons I played were setup, but still had some QC issues and visually I was not a fan of the satin finish on the newer 2023/2024 models.

@@celpabedn In the Gibson line-up their 50's necks are fatter that the 60's, however I find both to be very comfortable. I have relatively small hands so on some wider/thicker necks I struggle to get my thumb over top as I do with my odd profile 2016 Gibson Les Paul Studio and the Maybach 50's necks. So I like the Maybach 60's, Eastman and Gibson 50's/60's necks. The Maybach 50's neck is a proper baseball bat and much more of a handful than the Gibson 50's neck, which is worth noting.
