I love how they use a violin to replicate Plant's voice. I always thought his voice sounded more like an instrument than a voice.

Great to see younger generations learning Led Zeppelin music. These young women are very good musicians.....and the 60's-70's hippie on guitar too. Hard to believe this song is 32 years old now.

Everybody should make a trip to California...it's one of the best places in the world...I went there in 2006...some places will be in my hearth forever...

Have this on a bootleg led zeppelin compilation my friend got from Thailand lol... I treasure it, has this In full along with many rare zeppelin concerts.

Wow, what a surprise. I was searching LZ songs and found this amazing performance. :-D Though it's called "Going To California", this sounds very cajun/dixieland and would be perfect to accompany some shrimpin' on the Mississippi River.

@WulfBand Yes yes, good point.. but... You should know that the technicalities is how it works in classical orchestra. That is the litmus test, the mixture of classical instrument componants and how they weigh in thier parts against the condition of the music as they are in a whole. I don't find this piece as a re-telling of the song but rather a tribute, an honor, a privledge to play/hear the song broken down and reassembled to form a classical orchestrated version.

Very entertaining! Its hard to tell for sure, but the scene at 0:37 appears to be shot in New Mexico as you're leaving Gallup, NM for the Arizona state border heading west...Going to California.

thats God givin talent. i hope in this eletronic age this don't go along the way side like live bands are now . few and far between. two guys and a computer generated sound in the back. what is music come down to written and sung for kids ages 13 to 16. its all rap . nothing is about Love. catch my drift.

Bom dia! Isso era uma raridade na época. Eu ganhei o DVD de presente em 2007 e acabou estragando com o tempo. O que consegui foi salvar a maior parte dos vídeos individualmente no PC, então fiz upload de alguns. A empresa que gravou esse trabalho chama-se Atração Fonográfica. Não sei se ainda existe, mas parece ser o único meio de encontrar o original, caso ainda tenham. Ou por uma sorte grande!

A nice version - I can imagine using a mandolin instead of plucking a violin or viola would have added more quality and harmonics to the notes - but beautiful nonetheless.

this sounds really complicated

If you are going to do the song in classical style, do it completely, not halfway. Also, you need a better sound engineer. The actual performance was good. There is some rock music that could easily make the transition, but most of it is crap. You picked one of the best rock bands. Jimmy Page was an actual musician and composer. You might try: Cream, Blind Faith, Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck.
