"It's going to be the year of Jonesy" - I'm drooling already! I went to one of these Earls Court shows with 3 friends from my 6th form (16-17 yrs old). To buy the tickets, I'd got up at 4:30 am and cycled 10 miles in the pouring rain to catch a train to Birmingham. On arrival, I queued up for a further 3 1/2 soggy hours before handing over a tenner (still can't get over how cheap it seems now). On the night itself Rock 'n Roll nearly blew in my eardrums and it was a full 20 minutes until I'd acclimatised to the sheer battering power of the band. Personal favorites of that night: No Quarter, Trampled Underfoot and The Battle of Evermore. God, we we're so lucky to be alive when the giants of rock were at their best.

Who in their right mind complains about "Too much Led Zeppelin?" I didn't know such a thing existed. Zeppelin is unquestionably the best rock band of all time. Anyway, I just found this channel recently and subscribed almost immediately. I've been binging on his videos the last couple days because this guy is cool as hell, and he's got some top tier "reaction" content. I really like his approach to reaction videos, and you can tell he is being sincere when praising musicians or bands. Most reaction channel hosts are so fake, you know damn well they don't listen to the bands they praise unless they're doing a video about them. Keep up the great work Bro, you're killing it!

Plant never held back in those early days…outside of smoking and not rehearsing, those early shows are what caused polyps in his vocal chords. Btw LA shows from the 77 tour have Plant in his best form post the nodules.

@STB; Per Gibson, the Double neck guitar Jimmy plays weighs 13 lbs. In an interview of Eddie VanHalen, he was asked why he never plays(played) a double neck guitar like Jimmy Page? He replied: "I played one during a show not long ago. For one song. The next morning, I woke up with such a sore back I called my roadie and told him to burn the damn thing, or he was fired!" He went on: "I don't know how the hell Jimmy did it, every damn night and NOT just for one song, but multiple songs every show!" Jimmy Page = GOAT! Zeppelin Are the Greatest Rock Band Ever!!

Ok I've read through the comments and am sure I have you all beat on price payed to see them in concert...check this out; It was the summer of 1977 I was between my junior and senior year of H.S. My (3yrs. older brother) who joined the Navy after he had graduated was at the time a Navel Corpsman stationed at the Balboa Naval Base Hosp. in San Diego (I know, tough assignment right?) Well we're living in Las Vegas where I was born and raised. So my brother would show up at home from time to time whenever he had some extra leave. And there he was one day when I woke up, and he said to me "Sis throw a bag together and make it quick." I had the coolest brother on the planet and not a damn thing planned so whatever he was up to I was always down for. I thought maybe a couple days camped out at Lake Mead or something but I heard him on the phone telling one of his best friends the same thing, and I was now wondering if it was a road trip, most likely S.D. All packed & brushing my teeth I'm thinking hell this could be a beach weekend. Next thing I know Charlies' walking through the door and asks me whose vehicle Im going in? So obviously we're taking two cars and I'll be coming back with Charlie. My brother throws me a bag of weed Charlie brought with him and says "She's going to be rolling this whole "lid" into joints, needs to go with you. No a/c in my truck windows down the whole way" (it's hot a f mid June in Vegas) so I ride w/ Charlie who has a/c and I sit in the back, just me the Zigzag man and the baggie rolling joint after joint after joint you get the picture. We get to San Diego and scout out a place where Charlie's going to park for the night cuz he'll sleep in his car overnight. My brother lives on base we had no $ for a motel. Now there's no way little sis is sleeping in the car with Charlie overnight. So where DO I sleep? On base of course (unauthorized) where big brother can keep an eye on me..... WITH 77 OTHER SAILORS!!!! HOW we pulled that off blows my mind to this day. The 70s was the best decade for trying every thing and never getting caught or at least finding the most tolerance for the most things than ever before or since. Just a blatant observation from my perspective anyway. And here's where things really get exciting because untill Sunday afternoon the 19th of June, I was unaware that I'm headed to the Sports Arena that evening to catch a concert and handed a repurchased ticket that my mind could not wrap itself around what my eyes were trying to convey. Long story short... when school started that year you can bet I had the best reply to the question we all asked each other,,, "So how was your summer vacation, find any trouble to get into or anything interesting or fun to do? HMMMMMMMMM? Price paid to see Led Zeppelin in concert on their very last American tour and prior to Bono's death= Zero Federal Reserve Notes.

One of things I love about the video footage of Zeppelin live is you can see how much they’re feeding off each other and enabling the improvisations. Despite the larger and larger stages and venues, Jimmy camps by Bonzo most of the time as any rational musician would do with Bonzo on drums.

Yes, Bro, I am72 and I saw this same tour year of Zep at Long Beach Arena in 1975. My woman and I hitch hiked to Calif. from north Indiana that year with only 50 dollars, a duffel bag and suitcase. We both got jobs at the same Mall ,got an apartment across the street in Carson (where they kept a Goodyear blimp then). We then moved to Long Beach for cheaper rent and had an 8 block walk to the Arena and got tickets at $7.50 each and enjoyed the greatest concert of my life and i have seen many top rock acts. (I saw the Doobie Brothers a couple weeks after Led Zep). I wish I could take everyone back to that night of rock magic. Peace. ( PS JImmy was wearing the same Dragon silk P.J.s.)

Didn't know Kashmir was going to be played . I just heard a very cogent explanation about it's "formation"and the inspiration for the song, from a Professor of Rock video. Kashmir is in the mountains between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Plant and Page were on a very long drive in the desert, and Robert went into a fugue state. He had an intense spiritual awakening, which informed the lyrics he wrote. He was forever changed.

Page live fearlessly plays down dark hallways where there appears to be no musical escape and just when it seems his solo will crash and burn in spectacular fashion he opens a window steps out on the ledge leaps forward and soars with chaotically majestic riffing only Page could pull off. Leaving jaws on the floor and heads shaking wondering how he pulls off these miraculous escapes. It is what makes his solos so compelling and transcendent. He does at times fail spectacularly but he never lacks the courage run down blind alleyways believing he can find a his way out. It's worth the occasional miscues for all the times he finds the dark chaotic majesty that burns directly into your soul. One of the truly great artists of our time and we are all spoiled to be on earth at the same time as James Patrick Page. I don't believe there is a greatest in artistic endeavors but I do believe there are a rare few with greatness. That is where Mr. Page resides.

Wayne, your right you can't please everyone, so as long as there is plenty of LZ. IMO I think this concert is better than the " Song Remains the Same ". It's only thanks to JP releasing this concert we would never seen such a brilliant concert. The one thing I do notice is that Jimmy is so tight on his playing.

Yeah I think if he released a best of, edited and mixed it would blow away TSRTS. Great set and amazing moments through out these concerts. However I think page peaked in 73. Never played that way before or after, 72 and 75 were close but he was on some other stuff. 75 prob the closest because of the core set and “show”.

1975 was the period of hopeless economic management by Labour's Harold Wilson. Tax rates had reached 98% on the most successful and drove them out of the country to places such as the US, France, Caribbean and Spain. UK lost not only tax revenue but jobs as these people did their work offshore with them. The last two Zeppelin albums were not recorded in the UK.

I’ve never heard any drummer, before or since, play with actual tonal melody on drums as Bonzo did in Moby Dick this time. Just effing mind blowing. Loved it. God damn I wish he had lived a full span of years so that we could know what he would have done with all the new technology for drums…….assuming he had been able to get his drinking under control that is. What a waste his death was, and what a hideous tragedy for his family and countless friends.

One of the worst days of my life reading about Bonzo in a newspaper on my way to work. I'd read the tour reviews from June/July in Europe and thought I'd get to see them live again maybe Autumn 1980 or Spring 1981 in England. Devastating. I have visited his grave in Rushock, Worcestershire and the visitors book in the church has many emotional comments in it from people all over the world. Just watch him in n the live video of " Kashmir" from Knebworth 79 or " Trampled Underfoot" from 1975!!

It's interesting because Plant's voice is struggling in this first song and I went to a show which was in either 75 or 76 at Uniondale Long Island, and Plant wasn't able to sing. I'm wondering if this show played and then they came to the states and he hadn't recovered yet for my show? Because he sounds rough so far here. My show they played for 4 hours and amazing even w/out Robert.

Zep played at Uniondale 3 times in early '75...Feb 4th, 13th and 14th. His voice was really rough during that time, as he caught a bad case of the flu a little over a week or 2 before you saw them and was still trying to recover. He really trashed his voice during this time and it affected him the entire tour of '75. He never took proper care of his vocal chords even when he was healthy.

This is very cool. Watching this iconic gig along with you. Jimmy was a master of light and shade. He has a natural feel and understanding of when to put more attack into his picking and when to be more gentle. Self-taught and the best this country has ever produced. Should have been knighted a long time ago. Definitely the coolest man ever. Nice one mate. Btw, I know you are a fan of 'No Quarter' and I know there are different versions and people will say such and such is the definitive version, but THIS really is. Jimmy’s guitar tone changed in ‘75 to a nasally midrange. Gone was the ‘73 Brown Sound. Spectacle was added to the ‘75 stage set. They never looked better and were never better as composers. ‘75 is regarded by many as their peak. I say it’s their visual peak - 1973 for me takes the cake as far as physical and technical abilities, live. Some may argue me and that’s fine. Zeppelin were an ever evolving unit. Jones and Bonzo started picking the slack by now. ‘73 was still the peak for me in many ways. No Quarter is a special one from this night at EC.
