    Here is another tip everyone. The little wire that goes to nothing that i shoved in the glass case is actually the IR for the remote. Cut out a notch and let it hang outside the glass case so you can continue to use the remote. This was pointed out to me by someone in the comments named Derpy Hooves. Thank you Derpy.

    This is called "coil whine" in the power supply (aka. adapter, transformer, driver) which happens when current passes through the electromagnetic inductor and the coil vibrates against the ring. The frequency changes as the load changes (in your case the different colors drew different loads), and certain frequencies are more audible than others to us. You can fix the whine by getting a different power supply to the lights (it's really a crapshoot on whether one will whine or not). If you can open the power supply, you can put hot glue around the coil to lessen/eliminate the noise.

    Thank you so much. My youngest daughter (in this video) takes after me. Sometime I am going to post a video of all the things she has created or built on her own. Last week she took apart an old clock we had for our kitchen and changed the background image in it. Didn't think she would get it all back together and have it work but she did :)

    Thanks for the tip about adjusting the connection (wiggling the wire) from the LED light and the connector port. This solved the buzzing problem on my Lenovo LED lightstrip 2M. Mine was buzzing at certain light colours during a particular brightness and contrast. I also have a Lenovo LED lightstrip 5M. The connector port is a different type and there is no buzzing sound on that one.

    The cable "not used" looks like the IR receiver used for the remote. I could be wrong but it looks a lot like the one on an LED strip that I had in use for a few years. If that's the IR receiver you still could use the glasses case and just make the receiver reach out of the case by cutting an extra hole for it.

  • @VictorPoulin

    @VictorPoulin

    Just so everyone knows, we tend to hear these frequencies due to the LED lights being dimmed slightly. So a quick fix is to have the lights full brightness. It will still produce a high pitch noise but no ear will be able to hear these type of frequencies so it wont bother us.

    Electrician: currently on a job doing a Hotel in New Orleans, been here almost 2 years. We put in some toe-kick LED lighting under the beds. (Told the contractor that they are SO bright that the guests would hate it. Low and behold we finish every floor, and I found myself on the Top floor descending the entire job (again) because now they want them dimmed. We put in potentiometers for the 0-10. And decided 30% was on the pot. was the perfect level. Now they are buzzing (most of them). And they stop buzzing at around 40% or so. But they want it @ 30%. Any suggestions on what could be the problem? Only thing I can think is that the Potentiometer (generic) is not compatible with the LED driver that is connected to the occ. sensor (beneath the bed) LED strip/driver & transformer are ALL of the brand (Diode LED) model (Omnidrive X)

    Alright, so I've owned a particular headset for the past 8-9 months and it's been making this buzzing noise every 10 seconds for about 6-7 seconds. I detected that the noise was coming from the red LED's inside the RGB part of it, however there is no switch or option to disable it. I have literally searched every single corner in the internet to fix the issue without damaging the headset itself, and I haven't found a single answer that helped. Any ideas on what I could do? And no, returning it/guarantee isn't an option at the moment primarily due to it expiring a few months ago. Anything would help. So far I've tried to remove the RGB's directly by disconnecting the cable inside the headset but I can't get into the headset itself. The model is Gamepower Tinker V2 and it's extremely unpopular and I cannot find any information about it. If you have any ideas, please let me know.
