@@Chrfilmer 10 x 3,6V sind 36V am Elko. Das Ganze ist trotzdem lebensgefährlich, weil die spannungsführenden LEDs nicht ausreichend isoliert sind.

Actually, it's not. The man put in the appropriate resistor to drop the amperage to an appropriate level for this circuit. It's only dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

He puts a resistor with a high resistance in series with the phase, making this not dangerous. It's just as safe as either a bare 12 volt supply or less, like your battery on your car, because the voltage drop across the large resistor makes the voltage drop. Now, since these are small LEDs, I would assume they are between one to three volt LEDs, making that the potential between you and the ground. So no, this is not dangerous.

ofcourse its dangerous. Anything you put in mains is not adviced. Yeah the circuit maybe safe (if the components can survive the occuring watts and dont burn). But the way its shown here its easy to short something out in the process making it incredibly unsafe.

I’m an electronic engineer, don’t do it at home, i’ll explain why. With the circuit in the figure, the diode is conducting for 1/4 * period of the AC wave, but it must provide high power to the capacitor in order to be able to keep the LEDs on for an entire period of the sine wave. Before doing these things you should check the maximum power the diode can withstand, besides all the power is dissipated on the single diode so it will fail sooner. Best case the diode will stop working without damaging anything, but it could happen that the high temperature of the diode could start a fire.

основной трабл - что нет гальванической развязки (абсолютно каждый участок цепи имеет сетевое напряжение к земле, _независимо от полярности вилки)_ и резистор маленький по напряжению (1/4 Вт углепленочные до 100 В, что-ле) и по мощности

depends what you want as output. full bridge rectifier is useful to use positive parts AND negative parts of the pulse. he's using half the pulse, hence half the volts main power offers. usually power supply just take both pulse (to avoid bad balance in power consumption) then reduce them with a transformer, offering galvanic insulation. he don't, meaning anyone touching a metal part is potentially exposed to full main voltage.

remember that approximately Ir=(230*radq(2)-2)/15000=22mA flows on the resistance inside the plug So the total power on it is: Ptot=0.22^2*15000=7W The resistor in the video allows at most 1/4W... about 10x less. Don't try the circuit if you don't want to burn everything! Plug included... You need a 10W resistor and not the one in the video!

Не повторяйте. На ленте фаза смертельно опасно. И резистор 0.125 вт сгорит вместе с вашей квартирой. Собирал похожую поделку но надо всё надёжно изолировать и вместо резистора поставить конденсатор на 400вольт ёмкость расчитывается по формуле реактивного сопротивления.

@@Norgame так я и не утверждаю что он долго продержится. Ну сгорит и сгорит. Для пожара этого недостаточно. Для работы достаточно поднять на порядок R и W в 0,5.

По хорошему нужно было бы диодный мост поставить

@@user-ph2fc5jb5j а какое напряжение интересно будет непосредственно на контактах светодиов? Меня слегка дернуло от китайской 220V led лампы в форме "кукурузы". На ней нет никакого рассеивателя, тоже голые светодиоды, когда выкручивал лампу, видимо дотронулся до нескольких малюсеньких контактов. Был удивлен, потому что даже рука немного онемела.

@@towele100 На каждом в отдельности светодиоде падение напряжения небольшое, от пары вольт до примерно десятка вольт. Но я имел ввиду, что в схеме нет гальванической развязки от сети (трансформатор или импульсный источник питания с трансформатором) из-за чего напряжение питающей сети целиком попадает на планку светодиодов.

100uf 25v rated capacitors is used for 230vac, the moment the switch turns on the capacitor will pop. A 400V rated capacitor is used at the rectified output of 325Vdc

You can replace it with a slightly higher value rezistor or several lower value resistors connected in series (their total resistance must be 15k!). Or you can just use a small transformer.

These LEDs are not high intensity Diodes and have a These are in an SMD array. They don't pass a lot of current and each LED's Voltage requires approximately 3V

First of all there are more chances of some one getting zapped by 220volt ac mains... 😄 With simple single diode power supply there will a flicker in the LED light. Also the voltage rating of LED strip is not mentioned. Use of a proper dc supply ( x' mer based or smps ) will be more safe.🤔
