Im having trouble figuring out which leds fit my car (7-series 2009 f01, with only orange ambient lighting and no settings to change them) the website has different options and they dont tell compatibility very well

Can you please help me out I’m trying to figure out how to connect my ambient lighting on my gr86 door panels but I don’t know which wire is power and which is ground

I think 2 should be fine for just that part. 1 on each side

No each door 1. 4 doors= 4 light controlling

"A lot of hard work"? for you, surely, but not for people who actually know what they`re doing. Took me less than 1,5 hours to do it all, and I hold degrees in language and literature, not mechanics or engineering. I wonder why you took the time to disconnect the window switches when there's no need for that at all. Neither is taking out the rear panels required - you can just have a simple go while they`re loose. I hope you`re not making a living out of this. As for me, a lay person who is oblivious to the difficulties associated with this install, I find it quite simple. Anyone who finds this difficult certainly struggles with life. And if you believe the notion that this LED upgrade does not look good, you may have impaired vision, since it looks awesome. Sorry for my bad English. It is not my first language - German is. And Chinese is my third.....

Sorry, one more thing: your idiocy when replacing the footwell lights is quite apalling: there are little taps on the back of the light modules - just insert a tiny phillips head in the back and they will pop right off.... - then again, I don't know what I am doing. The experts take minutes, not a few seconds, and stab themselves in the process....

Hi there, thanks for your comment. As someone without a degree in Mechanic or Engineering. And also someone who didn't grow up speaking English as my first language (Bangla, English, Arabic, Urdu and learning Japanese too) I can for sure say that this is something that a "lay person" can do indeed. The reasons why I disconnect the window switches, when removing the door cards from the car, you need to be able to unplug and re-plug this back together. It is basically impossible to reconnect that wire into the window switches whilst its still in the door card. Not sure how you managed to do it. Also you need to remove the door cards to ensure you don't snap the acrylic, not sure how you did it but I preferred to take my time with the door cards than rush. I am happy to hear you do have a degree in Language and Literature, my advise would be to rethink your comments before making them. Because you saying its not a lot of hard work, or that someone who finds this difficult certainly struggles with life, plus the impaired vision comment, all adds to you having a very rude and disrespectful demeanor, this was not a comment to help others or be supportive to anyone in any way. I'm not sure where I mentioned how long it took me. But I am glad to hear you managed to complete it in 1.5 hours. I don't know if you have seen the video's where I have shown the other lighting kits that can be done into on this shape BMW F3X, in my opinion if you are going to be doing ambient lighting on your car, its better to do those than this for the difference in time it takes, the other lights are much better value.
