Everything I saw in class and everything I read in the textbook "Microwave Engineering by David M. Pozar" was in this video. I liked how I learned all of this already, but man this video did a great job of reinforcing the material and putting all the concepts together. Now I have a better understanding, well definitely check out his next videos on this material. THANK YOU !!!!

A long time ago (several decades) I learned to design low noise microwave amplifiers using a combination of s-parameters to characterize the GaAs FET, ABCD matrices to characterize the circuit and BASIC to write programs to analyze the predicted amplifier performance. The BASIC program was iterative with the circuit parameters as variables and with a target based on the desired gain in the frequency band of interest and the minimization of out of band gain. This program would run overnight on a time shared GE mainframe and print out the results when I came to work the next morning. We built a ton of microwave hardware using this technique.
