Lecture 2 | How to draw a cam profile | Roller follower

This video explains how to draw a cam profile in case of roller follower.
The problem statement is as follows:
Design a cam for operating the exhaust valve of an oil engine which is required to give uniform velocity during opening & closing of the valve. Outstroke corresponds to 𝟏𝟐𝟎° of cam rotation. The valve must remain in the fully open position for next 30° of cam rotation. Return stroke corresponds to 𝟔𝟎° of cam rotation.
The lift or stroke of the follower is 30 mm & the minimum radius of the cam is 50 mm. The follower is provided with a roller of radius 10 mm & its line of stroke passes through the axis of the cam.

Why outstroke and return stroke divided six part? I don't understand, thank you

you can divide them however you like , the more you divide the segment the more accurate drawing you'll get and the opposite is true as will so less segments less accuracy . however 6 segments are fairly sufficient

Sir please make a video for cam profiling for disk cam with oscillating flat face follower . I am really having a hard time because there is no reference in online at all. Not even steps on how to constract it or even examples.
