After lots of thinking, I have came to this conclusion that I can never be as cool as Kilian.
Thank you so much Professor Weinberger and Cornell for posting this on YT!
Amazing, the world needs more teachers like you, sir! Stopped by just to take a look but you made me watch it all!
Love your team's work on the DenseNet. Thank you for making these videos!
I just realize that the written notes were in the description. One of the best classes I have seen on KZread. Thank you very much!
What a great teacher! Congratulations professor Weinberger. Thank you for making this invaluable resource available.
I have never watched/read anything that articulates machine learning like you do sir. The world needs more teachers like you. Thank you Dr. Weinberger!! :)
this guy is awesome! Wish I could attend your lectures in person. Great job pushing these lectures online Professor
These lectures are therapeutic, released my months of pain. Many thanks for this amazing initiative Prof.
Hearty thanks for providing such valuable resources, Professor you are wonderful !!!
Always good to cover the basics periodically. Thanks for posting these.
Thank you so much for sharing such incredible content. People from around the world are watching and learning. Greetings from Ecuador!
After doing a lot of hands-on ML, I decided to go back and review the lectures on Videonote. Oh the horror when I realized that Videonote was no more. Thanks so much for putting this on KZread Professor.
This is amazing to watch, If my lectures were like this I would attend them with enthusiasm. Everything is explained clearly, I hope to learn a lot from this.
Thank you Professor Weinberger! This is the perfect conclusion to the online ML class I'm enduring elsewhere. Your teaching is gold.
Great lecture professor Weinberg. Just subscribed to this channel
Oh I absolutely loved your lecture. I am now quite hinged on it and wanna scan through all of the following lectures. THANK YOU & Namaste from Nepal, Professor.
I'll be honest , I was just searching for some particular equations on the SVM and the very first result that I got was from Cornell website and from there I got to know about professor's playlist . God ! How blessed do I feel to discover his playlist. Absolutely phenomenal way of teaching . Even though I've finished most of the topics from different sources but damn but looking at your lectures I'm so hooked that I've decided to finish the whole playlist
Rising senior from Mumbai, India here, absolutely in love with your lectures Professor Weinberg! Its a great learning experience to go through your ML videos :) Can't wait to apply!
I love this guy
This is awesome! I'm going to go through this series over the summer. Wish I got into Cornell, ha ha (I tried).
Thank you so much Kilian, for your amazing lectures!
My classes begin tomorrow and I've taken my first ML course. Have been worried for the past few days that I wouldn't do well because my previous performance has been quite bad. Prof posted slides for first lecture and I didn't understand anything so thought to prepare for the classes. Random searches and browsing on KZread brought me here, but this lecture was awesome! I enjoyed all parts of it. I have a problem focusing on something for a long time and even after that, I didn't lose concentration in entire lecture. Pretty sure I wouldn't ever be as cool as you professor :p Thank you for this lecture!
best professor in ML, offline(in my life of course since i am CS student too) and online :)
You know, I just checked this out to see what it's about but ended up watching the whole video. See you at Lecture 2!
OMG! I'm in love with this guy! the energy he has makes me want to learn ML!
The whole serie of this lecture is pure gold. I have learned so much from it. And it is even very entertaining. I wish I could have attended it in presence. Thank you very much Prof. Dr. Weinberger! Herzliche Grüße aus Deutschland.
I have some free time soon, this will be looked at!! Thank you!
What a great professor!!

Hilarious professor and also engaging. I didn't think I would stick around the entire video and here I am finishing the lecture up. Also, no offence but it's also hilarious if you watch the video at 1.5x speed, and you hear the professor clear his throat, it sounds like he is getting frustrated by the students for some reason and really trying not to become a zombie lol.
Dear Professor Kilian, i just want to ask how i can be as cool as you. Surely this the best video Machine learning course on KZread!
Mir gefelt es sehr!
Supervised learning - making predictions from data - dataset D with n data points and their outputs; the feature vector and label - the data points are a sample from some distribution - the aim is to get a function from the dataset that maps x to y Examples of y (labelling) - binary classification: there or not label - k classes: multiple labels -
Great help. Thanks!
Your video is a great help

Thank you for sharing
I wish I had a professor half as good as Kilian
Coolest Prof I've ever seen 🍿😁
At 22:03 when he opens Yahoo, I thought this class is from 2005 :)
are the programming assignments available by any chance? Thank you for the great lectures
You are great

Great videos! Is there any chance we can have access to projects of this class? Thanks.
It would have been great if I had the opportunity to sit in your class and had a face to face discussion with you Sir. I am going USA for my PhD in statistics this fall. Hope that I meet and have a chat with you soon..
Sehr hilfreich für Studenten der Computerlinguistik 👍
What a wacky sense of humour prof.
We need more of Killian Please!
Question: anyone here who knows what iid is? Then he goes on to say, I think all of you put together got it right. Epic

Love the Terminator picture joke of what is ML...heheh

Love this guys' humor !!! (must some foreign genes ?) I don' think it's a coincidence many great teachers have a funny side, and he's in my sample to prove it ...
At 2am out of no where I thought to learn machine learning lol and this video was so interesting probably going to watch it all this weekend lol. What are the pre reqs? Currently taking cal 3 at uni lol
👍🙌
I'm applying to Cornell now, if I get in I hope to meet you someday!

30:30 Why oh why do other teachers not understand this?!?
Are there any links to the code project? It would be very helpful cuz i want to implement the code too
Professor Weinberger can you please provide us with past exam materials? The link that you gave in the description is not working. It shows the file has been deleted.
can the past exams be reuploaded (link says they're deleted) or were they removed because of cornell's rules or something?
sir can you recommend me some books to learn theory behind ml? Like bottom to up?
4:23 what about clustering. I think clustering belongs to traditional computer science because there is no output up front.
There is a whole blackmarket for the handouts .
did anyone come across the course assignments or projects, that would be a great help

Can this curse be followed by beginners (very basic programming experience)?
@TippyBits
5 жыл бұрын
Going off of the class number alone I think probably not. I am only just starting into this myself but for this course I expect you may need decent data structures and algorithms and a good concept of programming (program flow and control). Just a guess really though.
@sahanashridhar4351

If you think of it as a curse, maybe not! :P On a more serious note, he does simplify the concepts such that everyone could understand. You would definitely be more benefitted if you gain some programming experience tho.
Why no laptops btw?
