wow. Richard Buckland is still teaching at UNSW. He was my favourite lecturer back in 2000 - he always put so much effort to make the lecture interesting and easy to understand.

Programming and writing code is SO THUG. I just love how like when you get stuff right its just like, instant gratification, and sometimes it will be just one after another until you're just awesome-gasming in your chair about how cool you are. :D

I wish I had access to this when I was studying in third grade college in India. How can you not love a subject when you have someone like him teaching it so passionately. All we had were stupid teachers/lecturers who had no interest in the subject.

It is the God's creation....everything else is human's.Because, it is perfect science, many of people dislike it......but when you realize the sense of math,it is very simple to do with. this guy mentions a book by Alastair Moffat.. who actually teaches at melb uni. i once had a subject with him as the lecturer, pretty cool guy.

@Bunfire123 EE requires quite the handle on Physics, which in turn requires a handle on heavier Mathematics. However, if you're able to excel in your science classes you should be able to handle anything that is thrown at you. Just gotta work for it. Comp Sci is, just as Skrip stated, a lot of math.

@de3a10 yes it is. Do you not understand what coding means? It doesn't mean encoding, it means writing functions and classes and scripts, which is programming.

@GaseousAnomaly001 I did that last week. I was laying in bed thinking about how to solve the problem with my Java classes. At about 1:30 I said "I'm such and idiot, I just need to put the class in here." After I put it in I ran the program like 50 times because I spent like 5 hours trying to figure it out.

it is worth it to watch this lectures to the end? i mean this is only programming, but this students going on another lessions what they need to know to understand all of this better??? and is that lectures going to the end, or lectures stop somewhere in the middle of semester? and final question is it possible to learn programing very good here? i don't want to watch all of this if they showing only basic variables, functions, like for if while and others begginer things, if anyone finish this please tell me .

yes thats all programming is.. it requires almost no thinking to be honest to me programming is more like a real job as like washing dishes it could get hard and sweating if you already know what you gotta do.. like I have the code in my mind all planned out... just typing it out.. lets say 2000 lines is what is painful.. then compiling it and fixing any typos and finally running it and debugging line by line is what programming is all about.

That was actually a baby threat compared to my college. Last year there were some people who got dispelled from our university on a take home exam for cheating. They would check our work like crazy and yell at our class for cheating. It was beyond unacceptable.
