Dear Sir, you are doing great. I have one doubt that does shear wall can have intermediator beams at the floor level or it(wall) goes from foundation level to the top level continuously as a single unit. the same doubt is with the columns too if the wall runs continuously to the multiple bays/span, do I have to provide intermediator columns or wall itself is sufficient to cater building forces.

Beams at floor level can be provided to transfer load of shear wall to the foundation through the frame. Boundary element behaves like column too. No extra column is provided in between B. E.

Either your Shear force due to Earthquake load is 750KN or solution should be accordingly,is it a typo error ?

sir while designing residential building what is the maximum limit for thickness of shear wall?

Code hasn't given it's maximum limit. It is assumed as a trial and then designed it for safety.

Without design it is not good practice to assume thickness of shear wall.
