I wonder how many life long bron haters converted in the last decade. It was the popular and easiest thing in the world to hate him from 2011-2014. But ten more years, two more rings, GOAT-tier production for 7 or 8 years after this title. Then a couple more All-NBA tier seasons. But going 1-4 in finals from 2014-2018 does not help.

“LeBron isn’t clutch he doesn’t play well under pressure” is the biggest lie and false narrative in the history of sports! Yes he has come up small before but EVERYONE from Kobe to MJ to Bird to Magic to Curry to Durant to anyone you name has come up “small” before they just weren’t under the microscope and dissected every second they breathed since 16 years old like this man (by the way that scrutiny in 24/7 sports culture and later social media is more pressure then any other athlete has ever been under)! You may not like him but the FACTS and DATA show that along with MJ (My Co GOAT w/ LeBron and I saw them both play or at least 87 MJ and beyond) he is by far the most clutch PLAYOFF performer EVER (Regular season Kobe & MJ were better and some other players but playoffs from most buzzer beaters all time to most makes under 5/2/1 min and under 30/10/5 seconds with best % in this situations to highest ppg EVER in Game7s/Closeout games/elimination games...most wins and best win % in elimination win or go home games!). It’s just mind boggling to me the hate he gets! Appreciate one of the GOAT athletes/winners/leaders/skilled clutch craftsman in all of sports!

And no one talks about the 3 he hit before Allen's to make it a one possession game with like 20 seconds left. That and the dagger over Kawhi in G7 with under 30 seconds left are the most overlooked shots in LeBron's career for sure, and some of the most overlooked in NBA history. Without those shots LeBron's legacy is completely different winning only one in Miami.

I think much of the hate is derived from him constantly being compared to MJ, so the haters only focus on his shortcomings and his Finals losses, etc. It's truly unfortunate, because I've watched him since he came into the league and all due respect to my guy Kobe, but Bron is the best I've seen play the game. What a series. What a game. What a player. He took his biggest weakness, (mid-range and three-point jumpshots), and made it into a weapon. JVG had it right on the call, “When he needed this skill to shine through in a big moment, it has here in Game 7.” It doesn’t get more clutch than that. He goes 7-12 in the second half. And not a single point in the paint. All 7 were jumpshots

This probably his ultimate peak. Still had elite court vision, elite defense, still strong, fast, and explosive enough to be unstoppable going to the rim, the stamina to do all of it the whole game, and after a dogfight in Game 6. And call it what you want, Clutch Gene, Killer Mentality, Mamba Mentality, he really unlocked that Winning Mentality here. Biggest stage possible, one game for an NBA Championship, winner take all. They dared him to go win a championship with his jump shot, and that's exactly what he did. Gave it to them from 3 and mid-range, and still found time to do everything else.

There’s a difference with making clutch shots and the ability of being clutch Lebron is not clutch ! Lebron James has no moves, he can’t create a shot , when the clamps is on ! He can only bully to the basket or shoot a 3 of catch or a sag ! If you are up into him he is useless ! That’s why the lakers struggle , they have no closer, that’s why kyrie was good for Lebron , he can create a shot when needed the most ! If Lebron could get a bucket when it was needed the most under any circumstance like Jordan , kobe, melo, pierce , Kd,Joe Johnson , Jokic etc he would literally have 7-8 championships
