LeBron James' assists fuel the Lakers' entire offense - especially Anthony Davis | Signature Shots

Спорт

In this episode of Signature Shots, ESPN analyst Kirk Goldsberry examines how LeBron James' assists fuel a Lakers offense that leads the NBA in field goal percentage. James' chemistry with Anthony Davis is obvious, but his positive effect on Los Angeles' 3-point shooting is measurable, too.

Listen i like lebron, he is a dominant force with the likes of Shaq/Malone but at a smaller postion, playing from outside to inside, taking at advantage of what hes got in a space and pace era. But I critique lebron because he does things that take away from his greatness and doesnt improve on what weakens his game. Hes never played with a traditional PG, he has rarely got along with his coaches and he should play off-ball more than he does. It why a lot of his opponents in the past that have beaten him have been team oriented and lebrons teams have always been bottom in the league in ball movement. The game plan is easy for teams, let lebron do it all, which was jordans problem early on in his career. I disagree with him being all around great but opinions are opinions.

They're just sick of a player who isn't even retired getting credit for being powering a team who he is the engine for. Of course he's averaging those assists - of course they fall apart without him. Who are the point guards you can put in for him? Caruso? Lakers fans say this themselves, that they need a point guard, but when it comes time to boost Lebron they switch up the narrative. chowder wango kyrie wasn’t always consistent and Wade was on the decline after 2011 but the team’s issues with Lebron sitting out didn’t lie on them tbh. Miami 2012-2013 may have had the best rosters Lebron was on but even with Lebron, Wade and Bosh taking paycuts the roster can only be so good with so much cap space left, I always say a team is so much more than just your top 3 players, look at the Bucks for instance the most complete team in the league with one superstar playing 30 mins a game, a fringe all star and a well rounded cast they rarely have weak points in their games. This problem got worse as Lebron went back to the Cavs with the cap space issue and lack of solid back up PG and continued on this Lakers roster due to Rondo simply not being consistent. I do believe Waiters can help more but this will need to be addressed in the offseason.
