The true Best season of Lebrons career. People will always say "Miami" or 2013 Lebron but if you take in the context of everything including the defenses in 2009, the teammates surrounding him, the pieces around him, the herculean performance he put forth in the playoffs, the skill level he possessed with his jumpshot and his ability to literally dunk on anyone and get to the rim, 2009 Lebron is THE prime Lebron. The guy took this team to 66 wins, a team that when he left it the very same year won 19 frikin games. He averaged 39 8 8 on 48% fg against the no.1 defense Orlando Magic, had a 37 PER the undisputed highest PER of all time in a playoff run, one of the highest PERs i a regular season of all time whilst facing 2000s defences where there was less spacing.

I agree but 2012,2013,2015,2016,2018 Lebron is still better than this 08/09- 09/10 Bron was just peak athleticism & could go on any bad team & at least get them into the playoffs

Nah 2013, he was a much better shooter and more efficient, plus he was mentally stronger . 2009 was his peak athleticism

@@AD-ur1fk I disagree, he was a better shooter and had a higher fg% because he had Wade, and Bosh and better pieces around him plus he picked and chose what shots to take and got it in the flow of an offense. In 2009 he had to force shots and create everything for his team and the degree of difficulty of these shots were much MUCH higher. But you can see in the highlights he took and made a lot more tougher jumpshots. And how was he mentally stronger. Its not like he shrank in the playoffs, he had the highest PER of all time in the playoff run averaged 39 8 8 against the no.1 defense Magic, hit a game winning and1 in game 1 but it was cancelled by lewis's game winner, hit ANOTHER game winner in game 2, then hit 2 freethrows to send it to OT in game 4 which they ultimately lost but he scored like 10 in the 4th and 10 in OT. Next game he scores 17 in the 4th and they win. His only "bad game" was game 6 and still scored 27. In 2013 against the spurs he had 3 games below 20 points in the finals.

This was Lebron's first peak and my oh my was it special. He played so well as an individual that people thought he could beat Kobe and Pau without a single other 15 ppg scorer. He did as much as any one player could for a season. Cavs finished 76-20.

I think this was his best season. If you've seen his other seasons you could tell this was his most explosive and he really had great clutch. But man's playmaking and shooting wasn't as good as it was with the heat and lakers
