My opinion - I grew up in the 70's-80's. Jordan is the best player I ever saw, but its paper thin over Bird (and I hated the Celtics) Some dont realize how great Bird was. Anyway.....Jordan, Bird, Magic Kobe, Kareem, Shaq, Wilt, etc. Lebron is great but hard to put him in that group for me. An era where defense is not allowed makes it impossible to take him over anyone where hard physical hard defense was allowed. Lebron lacks the killer instinct and the heart that the above mentioned had. We have seen him quit on the court...........and oh the flopping.....please make it stop. Put this way........an era that celebrates James Harden as a great player......that is enough said for me.

So, i get what you're saying, but James Harden at the end of the day is a great player like say Allen Iverson, Kevin Garnett were compared to Kobe. Not top tier with Jordan, Kobe, Bird, Magic etc... but i would put James Harden career alongside Steph Curry, Kevin Durrant, LeBron James, Giannis ack... Their footwork was crazy and they were obsessed with winning. There are a lot of good and great players playing today but, none of them has that ruthless and relentless attituded both MJ and Kobe had. They were great on both sides of the ball. Guys like Giannis shows glimpses of that killer instinct and plays both sides of the ball which, is enjoyable and rare to see today.

Great comment. I grew up in what I would call mostly the MJ era -- caught a lil' Magic / Bird but I was young when they were at their greatest peaks. And I saw Kobe play -- but by the the time he was winning chips I was in grad school so I didn't have as much time to watch as I did for MJ (and also I am a EC gal, but can appreciate greatness wherever it may be). But yes to all of your comment -- Giannis is lacking a little in outside shooting efficiency which the analysts NEVER forget to mention LOL, but they change it into saying he doesn't have "a bag"? I feel like we aren't even talking the same language of basketball these days -- Giannis isn't a great outside shooter, but so are plenty of other dudes I could mention even HoF level past and present we won't mention, but they ignore the 10+ other really important contributions of team sport he has to helping his team win? Either way, I will take watching a hard-working and productive Giannis play today on both ends of the court with his hustle and heart and constant willingness to train and improve every year over the "only offense even if it takes flopping and manipuplating the refs" players and players who cherry pick or give up when it gets tough. And to give a little nuance -- bad reffing and bad rules aren't entirely on the players. I get it. And I also get why owners and players alike would want to get rid of not just the bad boy era injurious play, as well as the insidious play of the Karl Malone elbows that could hospitalize players or the underhanded foot sweeps of many others that persisted for a long time. But holy crap, now it's gotten to the point where if you celebrate a dunk, breathe on a player from a foot away and he misses a shot/ and or a player does something clumsy or embarrasing in your proximity, or smile at a ref you're getting some kind of technical. It's sucking all the air out of the game. I'm getting to the point where I can hardly watch a game these days even with players I like.

@@Tcheera Yeah! The NBA has been watered down to the point that defense is a risky, relic of the past. Worst part about it is that this generation will crown players the goat, knowing they play only one side of the ball, play 2/3 or less of the season, and take shortcuts. Having a killer instinct isn't necessary and is ignored by fans because of how the game is pushed; marketing players who are lazy. It's sad that the players who actually, care don't get the recognition they deserve. The foreign players actually, play team ball and don't seem to care much about individual glory. They play their roles and are about winning as a team. Yet, they are either, ridiculed or ignored because they are "boring" to watch or, not helping with an agenda.

People always get the context of MJ shooting and making all those 3's in a row in the finals against Clyde Drexler snd the Trailblazers wrong. Even the announcer got it wrong. He wasn't surprised he was making them. There was an article that came out in Portland that said to beat the Bulls, the Trailblazers would need to keep Jordan out of the lane and force him to hit the three. Before that game, there was an interview with Jordan and the interviewer mentioned the article and asked why he didn't shoot more 3's. Jordan said that he just never wanted or needed to. That wasn't the game he wanted to play. (If you were around back then and playing basketball on neighborhood courts in NY, then you understand this completely. We use to call people that never took it inside but just shot from the outside playing p**sy ball*. Men took it inside and scored AGAINST the contact. They didn't run from it or try to shoot further and further away from it. Jordan was born in Brooklyn. He may have grown up mostly in NC but he always said his style of play was NY. ). So shooting and making all those 3's in a row (that broke the finals record at that time) was him just making a statement about it. The "shrug" was NOT surprise. It was more like, "Well I guess that strategy isn't going to work! Or...see I told ya!". BTW - I would put that Drexler team that the Bulls beat in the finals up against any of these teams today and be confident they would dominate them. Teams today are guards and a cast of players all playing like small forwards........none of which play defense.

MJ is the greatest athlete in team sports history. No single player ever affected his team, his league, or his sport more. Michael actually changed the world… . That being said, my generation is somewhat spoiled. We watched Tyson in his prime, Tiger in his prime, serena, Nolan Ryan, and also Lebron in his prime. We devalue Wilt the way today’s youth devalues MJ. Not completely, but just enough to put their generation’s best at no. 1 . If you really look into Wilts game, it’s impossible to put anyone above him. Averaged 50 for a season, scored 100 in a gave, presumably blocked more shots than any other player ever, never fouled out of a game, ran a 4.3 - 40, was a collegiate high jump champion, and had 10,000 + women… GOAT. He’s still holds numerous records. I’d take Kareem, Hakeem, Kobe, Magic, bird, MJ, Wilt, and maybe even t-Mac and Karl Malone over Lebron .

Great reaction youngster. I commend you for not being bias and saying ignorant $#!@ like "Bron can do that" after MJ does some nasty move like most Bron ignorant superman lovers. Nothing wrong with Bron being your GOAT. I'm in my mid-50s and fell in love with the sport in Magic's rookie season (1979). He's my favorite player all-time. But without hesitation I proclaim MJ to be the GOAT. I saw him ball in person a few times and what my 20/20 vision witnessed was like nothing it had seen before or after him. That bounce and hang-time aka aerial anarchy made Rodan extremely envious. He was also so creative. Just pure artistry. Great point on him abusing and dunking on all in today's Monistat moist vaginal NBA. MJ was dippin' on the greatest defensive bigs all-time (Hakeem, David Robinson, Mourning, Mutumbo, Ewing, Eaton, Parish, Rollins). I strongly doubt that Wemby or Greek Freak would be able to deter him from putting them on posters. Those that never saw him in person just have no clue how quick he was able to get off the ground. Before you knew it he was already airborne. And that's the reason he was dubbed black cat. Those that claim MJ would be just another DeRozan in today's soft as Vagisil yeast infection ointment league are infinitely ignorant. Kobe was much superior than DeMar and MJ was Kobe on PEDs. And I like DeRozan - he's a Southern Cali cat like myself. But compared to MJ he's a Dahmer after supper cadaver.

I’m 27, and MJ is the GOAT! He would have a field day in this era. Like you said, he got off the ground so quickly off 1 leg or 2 leg jumps. No 7 footers today would have any better luck than the 7 footers that MJ faced (they were better). I’ve always said - if Luka Doncic is averaging 33-8-9… and Russell Westbrook was averaging a triple double… wtf is Michael Jeffrey Jordan doing? Scary.

The thing no one ever mentions about this mixtape, is that these highlights are almost exclusively from his playoff runs with a few regular season games thrown in. There are highlights from maybe 50 or 60 games total, with multiple jaw dropping clips from each game. But MJ played over a thousand games in the league. He was just as spectacular on a random ass Tuesday as he was in a Game 6 elimination. A true mixtape would be hours long.

Lebron is able to go to the paint for a dunk or a lay-up, and can pass the ball, shoked a bunch of times, and build teams around superstars, which I didn't like Bron doing that, todays game is 0 defense, a week ago in 5 games, 8 teams dropped more than 130 points, 7 of them 140 points. MJ was able to do whatever he wanted in a bigger size and more defensive era, where Centers camped under the rim, a flagrant foul, was a regular foul, and he was 50% shooter mid range and in clutch time, and you just watched shooting, dunking and lay-ups over 3-4 people defenders constantly. Also, he was more effective than any player in history. If you watch a whole MJ regular game, you gonna see he constantly scores on people with only 1 or 2 dribbles or even in less than 3 seconds, MJ was fast, consistent, efficient, and agile. I suggest you to watch a whole game, so you see the difference. Also, MJ accomplished more in less time. I'm a Bron fan, also MJ fan, I watched both playing, I'm 40, so I have watched more Bron games than MJ. MJ THE GOAT 🐐 But besides everything, it was great video. Good job.

But when it comes to pure dominance on the court, and the goat debate, Lebron doesn’t make my top 5. You say today’s NBA is more talented, I will agree. But it is also lazy and weak. These guys played hard and tough. Much more contact with blood and heart. Athleticism, today has it. But the heart and physical toughness just isn’t there.

I'm 52, I love basketball, but I'm still waiting for a player who can do things better than him... No one has a better vertical, a better killer instinct, a better record in the playoffs and most of all in the finals. I'm even pissed off because there's no professional dude who can jump BEHIND the free throw line (NOT a finger, and please, with DRIBBLES), and this is a shame... more than 30 years. Come on. A basketball fan like me wants to watch an improvement: "There won't ever be another Jordan" is a stupid statement: I immediately WANTED to see someone better than him, when he retired. And I was SURE about that... Phenomenal players, but not MJ. Still pissed off. (I was a Celtics and Lakers supporter, in the 80s. Then, a Pistons supporter. No biased sh*t.)

The biggest issue for me are the rules. The rules won't allow them to play great defense. It's all about the offense and for me that takes away from the game. The reason why people say that Jordan would average 50 a game nowadays. For me it's not about the talent but the rules holding bacv this generation.

Here are the facts and anyone who disagrees doesn't know basketball.. 1. MJ is the goat for many reasons, even 2 decades later his impact and legacy is still being felt on the game of basketball.. 2. First 3peat far better than the 2nd 3peat imo.. 3. 2nd 3peat as amazing as it was that bulls team 96-98 was unfair as the bulls should have lost alot more games than they did but the fact they had 4 ELITE defensive players on the 1 team was just purely and totally unfair to the rest of the league.. facts 💯 Rodman Pippin Harper MJ on the floor together you are completely screwed and good luck scoring 4. Rules MJ had to play under in the 80s and 90s completely different from today's cupcake era. Buckets weren't given for free they were earned.. Had to be creative to get ya buckets.. 5. MJ version of 86 to 93 would average easily 45 PPG in today's era but MJ 96 to 98 35 to 40 PPG.. IF your gonna have a debate you have to clarify which version MJ you talking about..

It's just a flash highlight but MJ dunks on Orlando Woolridge. Woolridge still holds the Bulls bench and deadlift records. The game MJ scored 63 against the Celtics he had a 24/11 game with 4 blocks. They also had a vert competition and at 6'10' he put a sticker on the backboard 4" below the top of the backboard. Dude was a beast that today's NBA wouldn't know what to do with. Ever hear of him? Lebron couldn't make a shot out of 3ft from the basket, averaged 35%, great longevity, but choked a lot of times, and joined teams with 2 superstars and a bunch of great role players, and has been dominated by a bunch of teams and players. Dallas the underdog beat the Heats, champs 4-10, and great total carreer stats. But not like MJ 3peat twice, for an 6-0. MJ was a killer, slasher, cold blood, competitive, offensively and defensively great, clutch, dominated the NBA, Accomplished more in less time, averaged stats are better than Bron in regular season, go see playoffs, MJ stats are insane. When you collected all the info, Lebron can be anyone favorite player. But MJ is the #1, Bron is #2.

Wilt is the only player to ever score 100 points in one game. The 3 second rule is because of Wilt. But watching MJ do this almost EVERY game was insane! He embarrassed EVERYBODY!

When I talk to the younger generation about Jordan I always like to use Hit from Dragonball super as an example. Jordan was so quick that it’s like he was time skipping in the air. He would be already 3 moves ahead in the air and switching hands when the person defending him is already coming down off a jump to try and block him. lol. That’s why he’s Air Jordan. It’s like he’s floating on a cloud.

There is no player from the past, present or the future who would stop Michael Jordan.

Where does the narrative “this is the most talented era come from “. I watched 80s 90s ball up until now . Im bored with todays play to the point where i cant watch . I turned off a game last night to watch 1991 finals . Maybe im missing something - glad i found your channel and you got a sub .

Pretty valid reaction. I can agree with most of what you said. Today the young people just love Lebron. What Lebron fans gotta realize when you're talking about players nowadays are more talented, you have to understand what that actually is. Nowadays players are more talented offensively is how I see it. When it comes to defense, everyone knows defense was way more tough back in the day due to hand check. Michael won defensive player of the year many times .The defense in today's game is very sensitive. Michael Jordan was getting ate up in the paint and he still executed. Can't ever be done again. He's the true Goat in my opinion. Btw you missed quite a few good plays I was wanting you to catch. Couple times you were looking at your phone I think and looking into the camera when you spoke without pausing. You pretty much gave MJ his flowers tho, although many don't.

Mike does not care what anyone thinks of him and does the job and that is part of the weakness of todays NBA, weak minds that care what random people think. There is a reason the last few finals had around 6 million people watching and not 20 plus. If these guys are so good with about a billion extra people on the planet now, why is no one watching? They will possibly be the first generation to see pay decrease because ads pay the bills and views matter. And they will deserve what they have done to themselves working more about being on posters and not challenging anything because of ego and their social media profile. Not the game. I did like the video though. keep up the good work as usual a good video
