⁠@@luisrod5472I mean they do break in but they don’t naturally mold as well to your foot like the leather uppers on the 21s.

I love that Tommy reviews multiple color ways of the same shoe - most reviewers don’t do this, which makes it tough because different color ways of the same shoe can have vastly different performances based on outsole (rubber/translucent) and fit (due to different upper materials). Really appreciate the attention to detail my brother!

I like this and the grey color, will for sure wait for deeper discount (grey and Easter already on sale for $154 on Nike site) as I not only have the Tahitian but also have a few other recent purchases which are still working out for me. I'll probably get the Stewie 3 next (pending your review of course) before I get these. Made me do a double take on the ex line haha

Thank you for this! I couldnt find any reviews with these new uppers so this was very helpful. Do the upper material break in and loosen a bit over time? I currently wear 9.5 on the Tahitian CW which fit pretty comfortable. I tried size 9 for these after seeing this video and while they fit okay, I’d hope them to loosen or stretch over time. What were your experience like?

🙏🙏 So far, my pair hasn’t really changed much and this upper really doesn’t seem like it’ll either loosen / break in more over time. But yes going down that half size should be the most ideal option. Cheers!

I just bought this pair too and I had the same slight heel slippage. I already have 2 other pairs of the 21's and it's not an issue on the Okoya or Tahitian colorways. I just have to really lace these up tighter than the other pairs and that heel slippage isn't too noticeable.

I have a question my man. Yesterday I played basketball again in like 3 months. I played with my Ae1 and cushioned adidas socks. While I was playing I felt something in my left foot but I thought it was not a big deal. Then later when I came back home and then saw my left foot there was a big red blister. Burned pretty much. My question is do you think it was because of the shoes or socks or maybe both? Maybe you have experienced something like this in the Ae1?

I would have absolutely no idea man. There’re a lot of factors that could have contributed to your experience - I can only say that for me the AE 1 does fine over longer sessions, doesn’t really cause things like that as long as sizing is correct.

From the pairs that I’ve tried yes. Other colorways - Queen Conch (all star) might the best one I did try them on once that felt even better and lighter on feet.

I tried the amped in the Liverpool colorway and the traction was insane I wonder if this is the same as the other colorways?

Man, I can’t disagree with you more on the fit. If you have a high arch, avoid these shoes at all costs. The uppers have 0 give, and will destroy your foot because they will not conform to your foot the way the leather and suede materials do. Way more comfortable and will actually break in. The materials change look amazing, but hurt like hell 4:44
