I have not been yet!! :( I have been stuck here building the homestead near Puerto Octay in the campo. I am really wanting to get down there. We have friends in Chaiten who have a hostel cabana thingey going on. Stop and see us. You can stay at our Cabana if you like. Jim

ChileExpatFamily how cool that you have friend in el Chalten! You have to get there because it was absolutely beautiful. If i could go back I'd love to spend more time in El Chaltén I love the outdoors and this small town was all about that! Thanks for opening your doors to us! We'd love to stop by your cabana! That happens to me too, with my few hiking/camping experiences, my biggest motivation to come back has always been taking a shower, bathrooms and food. The "helados en casa" place looked really yummy! Great video Jon and loved the music!!

Thank you so much! After days without showering it's always something on your mind while hiking. That ice cream was truly the best, we loved it! Thanks for loving the music, I work hard to find music that is inspiring so thanks for saying that!

Hola Jon, me parece grandioso las imágenes que muestras en los videos., sabes algo? me hace tan bien para mi estado anímico , te cuento que yo soy chilena y en estos momentos me encuentro en la ciudad de México.. bien lejos de mi país.. hace un año que ya estoy aquí y siendo chilena nunca visité las Torres del Paine pero ahora ya con todo lo que has mostrado ya me entró toda la curiosidad y créeme que no moriré sin antes conocer lugares tan hermosos de mi Chile. Tan entretenido tus videos que se me hacen cortísimos¡ :D Lo único que me cuesta entender lo que hablas , ojalá pronto puedas traducir. Saludos a tu esposa. Hi Jon, how long does it take you guys to get to the bus station? i heard you need to take a ride from the hotel to the bus stop, do you still remember how long does that take? we are planning to visit there end of the month and having a hard time to find those details....thanks!

givim80 hey absolutely! We had a tough time finding those details as well. I would recommend this. Buy your tickets online and print them before leaving and get a ticket where the bus to puerto Natales picks you up from the airport directly. Then it’s around a 1.5-2 hr bus ride to puerto Natales if I remember correctly. Then when you get off at the bus stop in puerto Natales buy you bus ticket for the next opening or whenever you wanted to go to Torres del Paine. Almost all buses leave at 6 or 7 but you can buy these tickets there at the bus station no problem. It was around a 2.5 hr bus ride to the park again if I remember correctly! Hope this helps!
