Most of you are completely ignoring the point of SEMA, which stands for Specialty Equipment Market Association... Which means selling things. The cars are marketing tools. You can't sell anything if you can't convince someone to buy what you're offering, which costs a lot of money to showcase effectively. So the POINT is to show what you're selling, not just showing what you've got. Billy's custom hand built chopped, channeled and sectioned Riddler award nominated hot rod won't get into SEMA cuz HE'S NOT SELLING ANYTHING!! Unless he gets a SPONSOR that is. THEN you'll see his car there because his big money sponsor paid to put their name on his car to sell something they offer... Like coolant.. or something else they sell that he isn't actually using... Lesson over.

Thank you for the explanation. I only came for the thumbnail. Other than that, I wouldn't understand why people watch these garage queens until now. Still look like boring useless trucks to me. But I'm dumb so whatever.

Brian Jergens was one of my best friends going into Afghanistan...we spent a lot of time wondering if he would make it through or not...thank God he did he's an amazing dude and deserves a long life...turned this video on for my son and heard his name I was like WHOA! no way!

One thing about Sema is the fact that these huge company's spend thousands of dollars on vehicles that will never see a track or mud hole but peoples garage built and tested could probably out perform half of the big brands. Sema is all about who has the most money. As most of us have heard these trucks are built then literally taken all back apart with less then 100-200 miles on them. This is not what cars should be about.

This is a looooong video! magically the longer the band played they kept getting better. In fact got really good especially the singer. Started out kinda rough but I really was impressed overall with music.

That one guy from counting cars came out in his wife's car haha...that pink 62 Karman ghia . The dude from vegas rat rods came out too. Surprised those diesel brothers didn't come out an they live there haha.

so many countless man hours in some of those cars with thousands upon thousands of dollars thrown at them. Everything there should have to pass a functionality test. Freeway speeds, off road capabilities, road and track capabilities weather proof test (rain, sand, dirt, etc), engine and running gear reliability test and then if they pass they should be allowed to show their face at sema. Some of this stuff looks great but I doubt it would go down the road faster then they are going now.
