It's kind of a death that was what we expected but delayed. I assume most thought she was going to be locked out waiting for her dog and die. Instead, she died saving the little boy and her dog; specifically in that order. So in a sense, she did still die for her dog since she did have enough time to climb over the closing floodgates herself. Though if this were actually real, I can't say whether or not her natural athleticism would've been of help.

When it comes to Gods I prefer Thor who has a bitchin' hammer or maybe even Persephone the Queen of the Underworld. Or Lord Shiva.. Nah, Athena is a badass, or Zeus. None of them would have let some Roman's crucify them.
