Fun fact, the firenation child who helped appa with the hay and encouraged him to runaway from the circus is voiced by the same VA who voices Aang.

"Ozai's Angels" Whoever came up with that nickname deserves a medal.
From our perspective as the audience, Appa was gone for like 2 months since we had to wait 2 weeks for every new episode in 2006

"Why is this show so good?" Exactly. Easy to miss how good storytelling this is amidst the fun stuff. They are so intentional with everything, but not like in an in-your-face way. It's just organic connections. The guru's point I guess, lol. Love y'all's reactions.

When Appa starts digging at the dirt where the library tower was I lost it omg sweet Appa
Appa is the only character that I would say is more pure than Iroh, and that's saying a lot.

5:45 Tell that to the Buzzard Wasp who tried taking Momo. Aang got Momo free and still took that thing down.
When Suki and the Kyoshi warriors showed up to help Appa I exclaimed out loud "OH THANK GOD" which I had never done while watching anything. Yes this episode was pure pain because animal cruelty is one of the few things I can't watch.
I loved how the sand sailor that Aang and them found was because of Appa sneezing. In a way, he helped them out of the desert

No essay today. Just pain 😢🥲. Seriously tho our boy Appa is a fighter. I usually dont like animals that are pretty much mascots and dont have an actual role in any form of media be it shows, anime or even books. But they absolutely won me over with Appa and this Episode. #❤❤APPA.

6:52 Idk if there’s enough juice there to make Appa hallucinate even if he didn’t spit it out. Remember how many lashes it took from the shirshu to paralyze him?

Hey Meesh and Dee. I hope you two are having a wonderful Wednesday. This was a great episode. It's a very sad episode. We finally know what had been happening to Appa from the time he was with Aang group in the episode "The Library" and what he had been through. From being torture and abused. And every time he tried to find a location to relax. He's constantly attacked. I feel for him. I'm happy that the only kindness that was ever shown to him was the Kyoshi warriors, kid at the circus, and the old man Guru Pathik. Man, I hate Li Feng and the Dai Li. But anyway, I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care, and stay amazing.
