@@rickmaldoo4205 I uses an scissor to cuts my pant so’s that my pair of sock would not be hidden when I put my pairs of shoe on. My pairs foots will not mind being hided, for no one of good consciences show free foot on internets

There shouldn't be any special technique 2 use the scissors - this is clearly a fault @ Leatherman. Victorinox Swisstool doesn't require any special techniques and cuts perfectly out of the box. Scissors & the special profile screw bits made me choose Victorinox instead of Surge.

I find your videos fascinating and have learnt a lot about customising my EDC gear. But, I always watch on one of my TV's and this vertical format either looks like shit, or doesn't work at all because it's in the annoying "Shorts" format. Could you perhaps do a survey of what percentage of subscribers prefer the standard Vs vertical ? Cheers mate 👍

A great technique for the Surge.

Man i dont like that the scissors on my surge have the spring tention so high, that if i let go of the lever i cant reach it with my thumb again unless i hold it awkwardly close on the front. I had luck, my copy doesnt have that much play, works quite nice just not for precise things, i fear cutting of my fingertip when shortening a nail on it. But that trick of yours is good, i used in elementary school on those rounded, messed up scissors for kids. And nowadays in fact for the big scissors in our kitchen.

I always do that wit any scissor

Why is a good thing the little play?? Good thing is using straight forward tool without learning "special" techniques

@@maxlvledc Dang! I've never owned a Leatherman, that's news to me. And people shit on Gerber but put up with this.... Time to hold LM to account considering their astronomical prices.

should be using pointer and middle finger to snip not your thumb

I once get some play between the jaws of my Squirt by using it wrong. I was able to cancel that play by using a center punch on both sizes of the pivot. Then i realised i can do that to enhance the scissors too. I did not used that for any of my Surge's scissors, i enhanced them by simply sharpening them with a Victorinox diamond and ceramic file. But this technique is safer then center punching, that could lock the jaws.
