I've bought my Raptor approximately 3 years ago. Everything was great, besides the handles. They are OK if you are trying to cut the shirt or jeans. But some harder stuff (like a biker protective leather suit) and your fingers got ruined. I've waited for the Raptor v.2. And, as it seems to me, the Raptor Response got better handles, but lost too mush good features. The strap cutter, the holster, the ECG ruler (with that good 0.12 sec mark). 😕 It is not clear if Raptor Response can cut some hard stuff like boots, leather jackets or plastic protective motorcycle armor. Someone in the comments mentioned the Chinese copy of the Raptor. They are much worse. I've made the video about them on my channel and I'm planning to make the second video after few months of usage in real EMS work. You can see it if you don't mind reading subtitles (the video is in Russian). And sorry for probable mistakes - my English is not good. But anyway, thank you for your Raptor v.1. It is really essential instrument for my work.

Don't like the thickness of the new one. would love to see leatherman fix the rust issue on the old model. I'm a RN I disinfect my leatherman every end of my shift and the blades are rusted from the cleaners I use to disinfect them. I still love my raptor though, I tried the new model and the thickness ruined it for me I went back to using the old model.

@@GinEric84 You might think the strap cutter would be useless, but when you try it yourself in the field you realize how handy it can come. There are occasions where someone or an animal is trapped in something like cables very tight and snug and using scissors or a blade just doesn't work because you can't pull the wire. I've experienced this myself and have come to value a strap cutter, because you can get in angles and very tight spaces that other tools can't.
