I really enjoyed this video. It’s nice seeing this comparison from someone who’s not Captain EDC like most of these comparison videos are. I carried the Dime for years and just got tired of it being on my keychain. I started carrying it in my watch pocket. Super super useful knife. I don’t carry it as much anymore. I got my first Victorinox Swiss Army knife about a month ago and switched to that. I miss the package opener but I am in love with the parcel hook on the Victorinox. I didn’t know if I would like it but I find so many uses for it. When I carried the Dime on my keys I used a Nite Ize S-binder I picked up at the hardware store through the bottle cap opener. I liked that, it was easy to remove from my keys when I wanted to use the knife or whatever. Enjoyed the vid. Good job!

@@johndillard1 you won’t regret it! I probably went a little overboard with the Climber but I really like it. The Victorinox Compact would have probably been more sensible. The scissors on Victorinox are amazing.

To be fair a more like-for-like comparison would be Dime vs Squirt PS4 (as both have pliers), or Micra vs Gerber Splice. I don't have the Dime or Micra but I do have a Squirt PS4 which is great for such a small package, very well designed and made, and also a slightly bulkier Nextool Mini Flagship, which has the advantage of scissors more like those on the Micra, but also pliers, due to it's unique design, like 2 multitools fused together. As to small pliers, sure you can't use them for heavy jobs or torquing on rusted nuts & bolts but they are fine as long as you use them within their limitations. Sometimes it comes in handy to have something just to pick up something hot, or something small and inaccessible which you wouldn't get at with larger pliers.

To anyone that doesn't like palming the keys while using the tool. I recommend getting a quick release keychain. I have one for my keys and it makes it a lot easier to get my tool off. I just push the pin in, pull, and it comes off so I don't have to hold my keys and try and use the tool at the same time!

I need to get me a multi tool!!

I've been using my Squirt PS4 for 13 years. I use it a lot for one thing or another--pliers, screwdrivers and files the most. Looks a little beat up, but other than that, it's still going strong. Paid $20 on Amazon. Too bad Leatherman discontinued them. The pliers are not meant for the use you want them to be. I found the Micra too clumsy to use.

Is that the Buckler's choice of tool?

I want to have a big Manly pocket knife but I would need a big manly pocket to put it in

That internal tool design of LM is a real deal breaker for me - I’ll have to spent quite more time in opening and closing a tool than actually using it…
