I made some keychains out of 9oz leather. Here’s the finishing process.

    Qtip works great for edge coating. Gumtrag last, it will act as a resist. They look great.

    Very nice work! What kind of oil do you use prior to the antique gel?

    No oil. Sometimes I’ll add a resist to lessen the effect of the gel.

    On the ones that aren’t antiqued I used Neatsfoot oil then Super Sheen. 👍

    A lot of work goes into each one. Unfortunately, no one has ever paid me the $20-25 that I’ve asked. They have made real nice gifts for my friends and family. 🤩

    Suggest you stop using paper towels -even old cotton socks are better. Use mineral oil to spruce them up and rub the things, don't just piffle around daubing and dabbing with paper towels. They need softness. Nice job with the designs, tho.
