Bracelet actually working out well for me, despite the valid niggles raised, and just makes this Pagani achieve that intended vintage Speedmaster look all the more, in my opinion. Nice review as always.

Just got mine in green on the bracelet. Two links removed either side of the clasp gave me an almost perfect fit ❤

I bought this exact watch during the "Summer Sale" for an exceptional price after coupon codes, etc. I love the watch in this color blue. It looks really good in the sunshine. I have to agree that I'm not a big fan of the bracelet. Not because of quality but rather lack of adjustment. I have a 7in wrist and I'm in between sizes. I opted for it to be slightly too loose. However after seeing this video I will be purchasing a brown leather strap and the Black FKM Rubber Strap for wet situations. Thank You for bringing these to my attention.

Couldn't agree more mate, putting a different strap on a watch can make it feel and look like a different watch.

I know the standard answer is that the bracelet is always the better value but that said I do not generally like butterfly clasps (so hard to get a great fit). In addition Pagani offer some other decent bracelets and clasps .. maybe one of those might be better in both terms of 'originality'/ a subtle difference (don't laugh ... I know Pagani Design and originality do not mix) plus a better fit for the wearer. Finally the more watches I get the more I feel that the cliche 'always get the bracelet' doesn't hold water ... some watches are just better on a leather, silicone, rubber or sail cloth strap.

Definitely agree with you on the bracelet for this one. Not a butterfly clasp fan. Which dial colour do you think best suits a leather strap? Im torn between the blue and black versions

Thanks for the review Al. It's a very nice watch, caseback is nice with no cartooney picture on it. I have so many blue watches so the green seems more my preference.

Couldn't agree more about the bracelet, although I don't really like that supplied leather strap either. But it should be easy to find an aftermarket strap to further elevate the watch. It's funny: Pagani Design have awkwardly slapped date windows everywhere where they really didn't belong. But here, where a nice centered date window at 6 o'clock would look good, they omitted it. Personally, I would like a running second. By the way, there is an alternative quartz movement made by Miyota, the 6S21. It features a running second and a meca quartz like sweep of the chrono hand.

Hi, do like it and do not mind the no date. I also wear my PD-1703 on a black racing strap similar to the one you show. Will also try on a black FKM now. Regards

I'm for a date on the watch... but only if it is at the '6' and unobtrusive... i.e. mimics one of the markers or is color matched.

Nice review. I agree with everything you said. The watch looks bigger than 40mm, I even checked and yes, it is indeed 40mm even though it looks bigger than my Orient Kamasu (almost 42mm). Regarding the bracelet I'm not a lottery winner. I put it on a black leather strap and on a Milanese mesh, both look better than the bracelet. I've got a 7 1/4 wrist and in my opinion it will look big on a smaller wrist. But...its a beauty, a date window at 6 would have been nice though. I find the omission of a running seconds hand weirdly calming.

I personally prefer a date on my watches. The Speedmaster is definitely my favorite Omega (not that I’m getting one anytime soon). This one is definitely one of Pagani’s better offerings. Thanks for the great review.

I've been considering this watch as my next Pagani Design to buy. Not a fan of butterfly clasps but links look fairly small to begin with, so would half links be worthwhile for this strap?

Would prefer a date window. I bought one anyway. I tried the bracelet from my PD Airking and it fitted well but I chose to wear it on a leather rally strap.

Sometimes the chrono hand on VK series movements is misaligned by a small fraction of a second. Usually it's hardly noticeable with the naked eye but it's significant to people who want very accurate readings from the chrono.

Thanks for the review, Al. I just picked this watch up for a paltry 45€, shipping and VAT included. This is vintage me: going back and forth about whether to get a watch or not for about 6 months, almost pulling the trigger during the Back To School sale because it was down to 63€, deciding against it, convincing myself that it really wasn't that good a watch anyway, seeing it on sale for 51€ and pulling the trigger anyhow. The additional 6€ off was thanks for a Black Friday coupon. Against your advice, I decided to go with the bracelet anyway, because 1) it'll increase its resell value slightly, if I ever want to get rid of the watch (Ha!) and 2) that Pagani leather strap looks like fake plastic all the way from where I'm sitting. It may be just the light in your video, but it really doesn't look like a nice strap. I'd much rather get it onto a darker leather racing strap, like the one you've got it on towards the end. Cheers!

Why can’t they get the bezel properly aligned. I received the same one and the 120 is not aligned properly.

Same on my watch, as mentioned in the video. It's only a slight misalignment and I don't use the tachymeter scale but still a bit frustrating. I own numerous PD chronos and it's the first time it's happened to me.

I found out - in this bracelet are used push-pins unlike in other Pagani Design bracelets. It was tricky because 1. it might look like screws, 2. Push-pins are so hard to get them out you need to use a hammer.

@@kudenoo They should come out quite easily, as long as you push them out in the correct direction. There should be arrows on the links showing the correct direction. If not, you need to push them from the side that is folded over, not from the side that is split (the split side looks like the head of a screw).

They should make a red one or purple

A nice leather strap can enhance any watch, while a NATO strap may make an expensive watch look cheap.

Very well executed watch, but I can't stand not having a running second. It just feels 'dead' on daily use (without chronometer running).

I think having no running seconds hand on a quartz is a good thing .... and a bad thing. It's good that you don't have to watch the seconds hand only ticking once per second...and possibly missing the markers. But I agree with you that a lack of a running seconds hand makes the watch look "static". Thanks for watching!!

Parnis has a more accurate homage and also has a red version of it. Down side was mineral crystal.

@@TimeForAnotherWatch The problem was the red looked too bright in the pictures I could find. I didn't know if it was accurate or overly edited. So all in all the matches over the Pagani were the subdial numbers matched, the date window matched (altho different colour background) and the red matches as far as it's red. And it's cheaper but my last Parnis chrono has developed hand alignment problems on the large second hand (way out) and a subdial not resetting as they should.

Unfortunately this is my 3rd Pagani out of 10 that arrived with some crap underneath the crystal. This time I got a scratch on the hour hand. It's not very visible but it's there clearly. I got a parcial return, as Pagani hasn't got free return option, so my final price for that one is 35$. But I would return it if I could.

This is my worry with Pagani (and why I haven’t bought one yet). I’d rather (edit - spend) $50 or even a $150 more and get a watch I know will be sorted out.
