Great video! Your The Flat Head is amazing! I recently had the privilege to visit Tokyo and I was surprised to see a Lewis Leathers shop as well as a Schott NYC shop there. I've owned two Lewis Leather jackets for about 20 years so I thought I would stop in to check out their store. They make some beautiful stuff for sure. When I was leaving I walked right by The Flat Head store! I had no idea it was there. I came really close to buying a jacket (it was $1,600 US with the current favorable exchange rate), but I knew my wife would skin me alive so I passed on it. I also visited the Schott NYC store. I still think it's amazing how the Japanese have taken to this mid-century (mostly American) style.... so cool. Anyways, thanks for the fun video! I just subscribed and will be sure to check out more of your content. Cheers!

Great infos about different leather jackets. I used to have a few different style jackets also back in my previous life and time. Gave them all away, now I miss them all but life goes on. Again, great show a lot of infos here for those who are in to very unique special leather jackets 👍✌️😎

I'm glad he can admit that Brando probably did not wear a Schott. It is well known now among vintage leather jacket experts that Brando did NOT wear a Schott.

I'm a leather jacket freak, lol. I have 3 of the same schott 118 why maybe I'm 100% nuts when it comes to schott leather jackets. I wear them all and 3 other schott models, and 4 eastman leather jackets, and I want more.

Great video guys, I’ve got a couple of Aero leather jackets and a couple of Aero barnstormer coats. Be careful leather jackets can become addictive! I’ve never owned a Schott but their perfecto style jackets look super cool. I love the look of your natural veg tanned leather jacket Paul, that jacket will look amazing in time. I’ve got a pair of Whites Cruiser boots in natural leather which are super nice. Thanks for posting another great video, my kind of video guys.😊

Aero is amazing too! The guy who started Simmons Bilt came from Aero. Sort of a dubious path, we were debating whether we should talk about that relationship. Maybe in the next video! Cheers!

Been waiting for this one

Jackets coming out of the closet for me too. It's about high 50s in the early morning but still getting up to 90s later. It's ok, get a few hours in here and there for the next few weeks, then I think we're golden. Paul, we got a lot of the same stuff. This year I'm going to try and not buy anything and just start wearing the heck out of everything I already own. These pieces are meant to be worn a lot to get that pop, especially the tea core and natural stuff.

Just picked up a 618, got it off Marketplace for a fraction of the price of a new one, especially as I’m in Canada and the exchange is brutal. It is definitely a grail piece for me.

Do you guys have any recomendations for any good quality lightweight jacket in the double rider style? Im not honna lie, I love the style but I dont ride, I bought a 613 in the past but I couldnt wear the jacket for long periods of time without feeling exhausted after a couple hours, when I took out the jacket was kind a relief on my shoulders lol since that time Im trying to find a lightweight nice jacket to use on my day to day routine

I understand. Actually Schott leather makes a “casual” jacket in the same style. Lightweight leather, I think it’s the 533. Also, check out a company called Straight to Hell out of Chicago. I bought a jacket for my wife that’s super nice. Also, take a look at All Saints. I have one of their jackets and I love it! Good luck on your search!

Do you think they cared that much at the time? Probably just got whatever they got and made sure it looked cool on him. Don’t think they were concerned about brand specificity.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it is. The only difference is the VP has zipper side pockets - Gunner does not. But' I'm sure you can order it that way. The Two Lane Brown-top is an exact copy, only in brown or black.
