The Catalyst® family includes three dual-channel combo amplifiers that perform like traditional guitar amps-while providing the increased versatility of modern amplifiers. From the 200-watt Catalyst 200, capable of holding its own on nearly any stage, to the 60-watt Catalyst 60, which is perfect for practice, recording, and performing in small venues-there’s a Catalyst amp for every player. Catalyst amplifiers offer six Original Amp Designs-ranging from pristine clean to modern high-gain-crafted using our renowned HX® sound design techniques to ensure exceptional tone and feel. These powerful and sturdily constructed combos are equally suited for stage or studio use, and feature an XLR line output and a 4-channel USB recording interface. Also included are Boost circuits customized for each amp type, a dedicated Reverb section with six reverb types, 18 additional effects, an effects loop, a Power Amp input for using Catalyst as a powered speaker, MIDI capabilities, and power attenuation options for playing at any volume. The free Catalyst Edit app for desktop and mobile devices provides deep editing capabilities. Add an optional LFS2 footswitch for even more flexibility, and an optional cover to protect your combo.

I feel like you zipped right past the host box aspect of the 60. It's not nearly as simple as the 100 or the 200. I deeper dive into the 60 would help a lot of people who I have spoken to who cannot work the USB over midi of the 60.

How would an M13 and/or XT Live work as midi controllers for the Catalyst 100 or 60?

Very instructing. Is it possible to change the sag value through MIDI CC?

question, I'm interested in the 60 watt version, and I know it doesn't have the 5 pin DIN, I currently own an HX effects, can I use the HX effects to switch effects and presets over USB via MIDI along with the 60 watt version?

That was great, but it got way beyond what I want to do. I want to use the HX Effects to step through the Catalyst presets, and switch from A to B on them. How do I set that up? Also, Catalyst allows the use of only two effects at a time. Can I use the HX to switch between presets as I said above, while accessing the effects on the HX unit? If so, how?

Hey Nick, I'm a Helix Floor / Helix HX XL / Catalyst 100 / PowerCab + 212 owner and daily driver so was fizzing for the content. Certainly a relevant topic that needs instruction. But... Half the time while your programming your on the wrong camera screen mate and no one can follow you. Also please try finishing on one thing/task/topic, before jumping to the next... gets a bit confusing. to be clear, I could Not do any better myself, but I'm not hosting thankfully :) Could you please have another go with the Catalyst 2 software. Would be great to see a HX XL Midi with additional Effects pre and post through the effects loop.... (4 cable?) monster. . Cheers mate, thanks for the efforts Line 6 Rocks

For an additional 6.35 degree of difficulty; Perhaps you could also add to the Midi lesson an expression pedal with two channels controlling Wha and Volume into say the HX XL Helix.... just saying. Thanks Mate, Keep Rocken.

I can't enter the website. He tells me all the time that he is down. I am about to purchase line 6 products (both of this video) and I cannot access the download section to be able to download the software and updates. I'm going to rethink buying them

You only show midi use with the Helix and your explanation of its use is confusing at best... More importantly, what if you have a different controller? There is no basic explanations of how to use a midi pedal to access 12 presets ...6x2

Thank you sincerely for this video. It is much needed and appreciated. Respectfully, please work on not saying "you know" every two seconds. It would make a great drinking game but is distracting while trying to learn.

Your video is disappointing. After speding the first third of the video rambling on about topics not really contributive to your topic, you tend to wander and just spout whatever pops into your head. And the two times you forgot to change the view to the computer screen were simply infuriating. May I suggest you make an outline of what topics you want to cover, and include prompts for when you need to switch screens? It might keep you from wasting so much time at the beginning, make your information more concise & easier to follow, and maybe allow you to take your time rather than rush through your spiel like a monkey in heat.
