Thanks!!! works for me
Android equivalent for pad midi?
There are 128 program change numbers. These numbers can be recognised/displayed as values "1 to 128", or alternatively, as "0 to 127" depending on the equipment vendor (Korg, Roland, Line6, etc...). So not really an 'app bug' but more of a 'midi quirk' ... hope that helps. Thanks for the video!
WOuld it be possible then, to connect the line 6 MIDI controllers like the FVB devices via usb to the amp and contoll them?
I am considering purchasing the Catalyst 60. I am an ambient solo guitarist that uses an RC1 looper pedal. Can I fully control the Cat60 with the iOS Catalyst Edit app? I want one able to dramatically change and alter effects, tones, etc while having my looper pedal in the Cat60 effects loop. I don’t want to utilize the panel to control the amp features. The amp will set on the floor out of reach while my iPad is on my mic stand. Not interested in creating presets. Everything I do is on the fly. Thx in advance!
Was just about to pick up the Catalyst 60 because I heard it can be controlled with MIDI, I have a Morningstar MC 6 that I use for my pedals and was planning on using it on the 60, however after some research I found out it wont work you need a midi pin connector, even though the MC 6 has a usb connection its just to receive not send. I don't need the 100 I would buy the 60 tomorrow if I could use my Morningstar MC6 to control it. Its really a shame its not possible. Any chance Midi pin connector gets added to the 60
So what is the use of the catalyst edit app? I'm having trouble being able to connect the app to my amp. Do I need a midi app to access it?
Hello, thanks for the Video, it has helped me a lot with my CATALYST 60, one question, do you know what is the order to create a button that goes from bank to the next? That is, if I am on bank 1, I press the button and it goes to bank 2, if I press it again it goes to bank 3... And successively and with another button I go down, can that be done?
Some MIDI devices use 0-127 and others use 1-128. No big deal. Catalyst uses 0-127 and your phone app uses 1-128. I use the HX Stomp as a MIDI controller for the Catalyst, basically doing the same thing you are doing. The phone app is cool though.
The trouble with USB over midi controllers is they don't all work on catalyst 60. You still need a "host". It's very strange. This fix (so far) is interesting. I just don't want to futz with my phone mid gig. Still watching...
You can’t use a USB type B to lighten without buying the camera kit?
Great vid! thanx. I bought the app and a cable and start right away. What i dont understand is: there are midi commands for a volume and expression pedal, i also see an on or off in the catalyst edit app preferences. What is the meaning of this? is it a support for a regular volume or expression pedal which goes between your guitar and the input of the catalyst? or are there specific pedals with a different input for catylst? hope hearing from someone.
