Stick welding is definitely different than Big welding, which is what I do for a living. There are some good tips and tricks for that but these same principles apply. Glad you’re back to feeling better and the welder is a great addition to a blacksmith shop! Rock on brother

Yep. Im considerably better now than I was then and can do functional welds with pretty much no problems
