Learning through the Model United Nations | Lucas Haitsma | TEDxYouth@ChiangMai
Lucas is a ‘third culture kid’ who spent his early years growing up in
Africa, Europe, and Asia. He is currently a senior at Chiang Mai
International School, where he has developed a passion for learning
about international issues and has participated in four Model United
Nations conferences. He plans to study international and European law in the Netherlands beginning next year.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Hey! I'm an English speaking and award-winning MUN Delegate. Realistically, although English and Speaking skills are a big part of MUN, they aren't the only way to contribute. Most delegates will likely commend you on your effort in speaking English rather than tease you for it. The best advice I can give you is to try it out. MUN is somewhat unique in that Research can only take you so far. You can't really know how the committee will go until you are in it.

I recommend to try it out. it's the points that you say matters more. But it need some English to convey your points to the audience
Amazing speech!
Uganda loves you

They are fast-paced focusing on individual emergencies rather than tackle an underlying major issue

My first time joining a mun conference was 3 days ago. And all I gotta say is be yourself be confident and prepare well for your agenda item. I was so nervous I can't describe to you how nervous I actually was. But at the end of it I realized that there was no need to be that nervous, it's a lot of fun so yeah my best advice that i could give you is be yourself, prepare well and enjoy it as much as you can. :) Good luck
