Two good books on the Wing-T are "Scoring Power with the Wing-T" by Forest Evashevski and David Nelson, and "The Delaware Wing-T: An Order of Football" by Tubby Raymond and Ted Kempski

Yes, I have both of them. I have both of the Nelson Wing T books and I think two of the Raymond books on the Wing T. Good stuff. I actually wrote a Wing T eBook here - coachparker.org/2021/09/01/wing-t-offense/

Hey Coach,we run the wing t but we make it easier by numbering backs and holes and we tag formation names on the front and tag plays name on the back.Example King 28 Buck.We run more of the 2 wingbacks so we have motion on every play.

I like that, we do some of the same since we run a ton of double wing too. Thanks for your comment!

I ran the Evashevski version of the Wing-T (two tight ends, no SE, lead-post-inside-out blocking in 1958. I am coaching the Wing-T this fall with 11- and 12w year old players. We will be pulling and trapping and double-team the hole.

Thank you so much for explaining it, see I was confused because I thought the second number was letting them know which back was getting the ball and the 3 number was telling them what hole they were going.

The wing T can be very complex only because of the verbiage. I've seen youth teams go undefeated for years running the wing t, and i've seen teams not win a game running it.. most teams who i've seen fail had line issues or doesnt use motion or play action.. this was hard to get thru with all the ads tho..get that money.

I use my standard numbering system of backs and holes. you could use their 3 digit system to say the formation for the first number then a traditional numbering system for back and hole and have something like - 125 would be a base Wing-T Right = 1, TB = 2 and the 5 hole = 125. So a Wingt Rt Tailback 5 hole Dive.

ya, took me all morning to figure it out. I think many new Wing-T guys probably use a more modern system. My Wing-T upcoming Wing-T plays ebook will have my numbering system. Thanks for your comments.
