Inline skates have one set of wheels, along the center of the foot. They will roll onto one side or the other unless you use the muscles of the feet and ankles to keep them upright. This is very different than skiing, where the ski is a wide base on a flat surface, and the feet and ankles have to create leverage to roll the skis on edge. The Harb Carvers have two set of wheels along their length, one along the inside edge of the boot, one along the outside edge. In order to tip them on edge, you have to create leverage with the feet and ankles to tip them on edge and hold them there. That's why they are much more specific training for skiing.

I’m definitely going to add this to my training! I like the high cardio and endurance aspect of rollerblading, but this really gives you real feel and technique of skiing!

I don't get it. Isn't it just rollerblade?
