Learning New Hobbies - Special Needs day in the life
We are learning new hobbies that can carry on into adulthood. It is a challenge when an individuals developmental age is much lower than their actual age, especially when they are an adult. Join our special needs children’s day in the life were we are teaching “hobbies” that the kids can participate and enjoy with peers as they age.

Your back! Missed you guys
That bee project looked so fun. And Luke and Dean did a great job fishing… even though he fell in. That made me laugh. Good job girls in the kitchen. They are better than me at cooking! Love to all

Luke gets distracted so easily it wasn’t a surprise that he fell in, he wasn’t in danger so all we could do was laugh.
Oh good to see you! I’ve been hoping everyone was well, we’ve missed you! I like to fish but I don’t want to touch the worm or the fish…😂
Woow they grow very fast 😅
I was wondering I could tell Dean loves going fishing I was wondering how old was he when he went fishing for the first time and what is his favorite fish to fish

@@JustADifferentLife with my students we start with laundry match, line up and fold socks. Shirt on hanger. Clothes pin clothes to hanger (eventually to hang wet clothes), and using a folder to fold shirts. Also work on using a spray bottle to clean flat and vertical surfaces. Using hands to sweep crumbs off table. Start with hand broom and dust pan to sweep first Pom poms as don’t react as fast and move to beads and erasure tops before food fir fun way to learn grading needed for different foods on floor and then move to standing broom when get idea of concept. Work on teeth brushing and hair brushing tolerance. Work on hand washing and hair washing with a shower mirror so see soapy hair. For kitchen work on cutting with knife first on play down, sorting silverware, and measuring rice first. Those are some but you are probably already doing. Also work on zipper, buttons, snaps, buckles, shoes/socks, gloves and hats. Try to find out from families how they would like their child to help at home to be more independent. Have even done sorting dark and light for wash.
Hope u make more videos
