It's not included here but I would like to add about Key wrote his master thesis about fashion that was presented at an international conference in Vienna, Austria. His thesis is about The Influence of Styling Education on Appearance Satisfaction and Self-esteem of Korean Adolescents it's written in english! He doesn't really speak about it much but this really shows how wide his view is regarding fashion and yes he does take fashion very seriously. He also prepared his own ppt presentations before meeting the designers in SM for projects that he wanted to do, which his dedication took him to where he is now as one of SM's official fashion designers. There are so many things to learn when it comes to Key but all I can say is he's really one of the best artists out there. He's genuine, honest, and very dedicated to the way he's living.

Key also have skills for painting. On April 18, 2011, Bummie held a painting exhibition. His artistic work attracted a lot of attention for being very expressive and artistic. He was able to display some of his paintings at his uncle's art show. He also drew the cover of SHINee's "the misconception of us" album He was mentioned in the article of 11 kpop idols who are skilled in art.

Everyone is in love with shinee now and I'm living for it

It's a well known fact that when Key and Minho were trainees they didn't get alone because their personalities are the complete opposite. Even though Minho and Key are now very close and they have learned to understand and accept and respect their differences, it's still a running joke that they know how to push each other's buttons and they don't want to spend too much time together. Their hatred for each other is no longer real, but they play up their dislike as a joke. So any time Key or Minho is asked about spending time alone with each other or giving each other extra respect, etc. it's a given that they will both say no. They have a complicated relationship, because even though they were both born in 1991, which makes them the same age, Minho became an SM trainee first so he is considered a senior to Key, but Key is actually about 3 months older than Minho, so it has become a point of contention -- who deserves more respect? The older one or the one with more time in the industry? It all has to do with the Korean honorific system and how you are supposed to show respect for those who came before you and/or those who are older than you, etc. But neither one wants to concede to the other. So over the years it has turned into a funny power struggle between the two of them. Why are you questioning yourself? That is 100% Amber from F(x). Amber was a host on that show and BamBam from GOT7 had to prove that he and Key were close enough as friends that Key would be able to figure out that BamBam wanted him to buy him an Iced Americano without actually saying it. Amber thought it was extra funny because she is really close friends with BamBam because they are foreign idols so they all run in the same friends circles, and she and Key are really close because they are brother/sister groups and pretty much grew up together under SM. So she knows both boys very well and understands their personalities, etc., so she finds them extra funny. That was also Amber during that clip where Key was asking if she was doing a video for "Rental Monkey" when in fact it was really "Ranting Monkey."

@@lasciemie6346 I think Key being naturally talented and sassy found minho try hard earnestness and naivete exhausting plus Minho was a huge hit for his looks early on but not being musically oriented he had the steepest learning curve, he couldn't rap sing or dance as well as the others. His now famous passion was born of sheer hard work trying to prove he belonged. Key has alluded to having to beg to be let it vs others who got begged to join just walking down the street.. I think he saw Minho as the swan who got everything handed to him on a platter but unlike the undeniable talents of Jinki Jjong and Taemin, all Minho had to start with his looks and height. Key was a solid all rounder but he wasn't first ranked for anything, he wasn't noticed in a big way. but once they were more popular, minho became the favourite whipping boy for haters. He worked hard for everything but was hardly acknowledged for anything. Those songs jjong got credit for often has lyrics minho worked on aswell but it's not mentioned. Same went for rapping dancing and singing. he openly admits to being lacking and admiring OnJongKeyTae. We could see Key becoming softer for him and protective too. he still teases minho but he has also admitted despite being cynical, he learnt to trust and open up because Minho's ❤ is constant and pure. Does NOT mean he doesn't make minho work hard for it tho... Key is cat like while minho is that big goofy clingy Labrador. Losing Jjong made them even closer I think, minho needs his members more than ever and Key knows it, he is just wont show his love for him openly. Taemin has said minho spent alot of effort supporting everyone else at the expense of his own self care. Key said the same but called it 'nagging' His faith in the guy is rock solid, in the new Forbes interview, minho was talking about surprising the rest and key points out it is not, he knew minho would show up for taemin's last solo stage that day, just not in uniform. If the guy could fly to Japan and back just to drop by for their solo concerts, Pohang would be nothing. He will defend minho ISAC madness despite ragging on him for it. He admires his physicality but he tells us it's annoying 😂 so their Tom and Jerry bickering is real but I believe they are only able to show it and revel in it openly because of the deep affection and trust. That and all those bags minho bought him apparently 🤣 Everyone in shinee looks at the others in awe and admiration while thinking they don't measure up and luckily they have other members being their biggest fans in return. (except taemin, cuz baby cheese rules the group and he knows it.....because despite being told he sucked at singing they raised him to be know his worth and own it).

Also, as a locket, you should watch Born to Shine in Tokyo Dome, which is the performance where he's wearing his BDSM outfit (loool) with pink hair. :D

I mean people have to realize SHINee has the complete package, they transcend the qualities of an idol. Their reach and impact is amazing. Key broke gender boundaries with his fashion, Jonghyun with his singing, and Taemin with his dancing. I have never seen a more impressive members' profile. They all have post graduate degrees as well

We're fellow Lockets! I absolutely adore all of SHINee, but Key is just a little extra special to me. I love uniqueness and individuality, so I took to him immediately. I also love his intelligence and how hard he seems to work for his fans. I love to see him with his babies, Comme Des and Garcon. He spoils them rotten. His eyebrow scar is real btw.

Finally! I knew you'd love him ^^ The one you asked "who's this?" is f(x)'s Amber! You were right, haha! She's very close to Key, actually! As for the thing where he's wearing a harness, it's one of his solo performances (before his solo!), "Born To Shine". If I'm not mistaken, he wrote the lyrics for it! As for the super high song, I think you should react to it! It's super nice, "Good Good" is the name. His eyebrow scar is real ahahaha, I believe it happened one time he was a kid and kinda hit an overhead pot or something?I know you'll love his solo work! usually for groups, it takes me a few months to work out who my bias is, and even still I may switch once or twice after, but when I first stanned shinee almost 5 years ago I knew Key was my bias on day 1 and I haven't wavered since.

Key is my ultimate and underrated bias since 2011 in all of Kpop. 😘 He is a force to be reckoned with.

Key has been my ultimate bias since I first really got into kpop in 2015! I immediately fell in love with SHINee after watching a compilation of Key speaking English and then taking a deep dive into their music and variety show history. I'm an OT5 stan always but Key has a special place in my heart. Also I love how you mention Sunny, she is my bias in SNSD! We have very similar taste in biases haha

Key is well known for being a fashion icon in Korea/Korean fashion community along side others like G-Dragon and several select others, there's even a clip where he guests on korean micky mouse clubhouse as guest MC and teaches the rookies (what they call junior trainees/trainees) you'll see the members of NCT and NCT Dream on there and even red velvet members, on the show, it's hosted by Super Junior's leader Leeteuk and it's basically SM's way of giving them screen exposure/ training them for variety shows. He basically teaches them about fashion and how to dress yourself, he also talks about the other members for some more added humor. Highly recommended that you check it out,

THAT'S MY ULT OF 13 YEARS, RIGHT THERE! I adore this man and his talent. His solo album 'Face' & the 'I Wanna Be' repackage, are literally some of my fave albums ever. So so good! The live performances....! His stage presence kills me every time. (BTW, that clip you saw of Key on stage with the straps, and the whip? That's his performance of his original song 'Born To Shine' which, is an absolute MUST WATCH.......though you may not survive.) And his acting skill really is top-knotch. Aaaaad, he's so funny and charismatic in any variety show he's on. I mean, Key is amazing. That's all there is to it. Crazy talented, incredibly smart, ridiculously funny, and with heart full of love & acceptance. Like Onew himself said, Key is someone you really can't help but love. i agree i think key is the most 'flamboyant' on stage, esp physically. the other members will be doing vocal gymnastics or whatever but key's stage presence was one of the things that drew me to him. he kind of reminds me of kai sometimes! they both have that sort-of cockiness? like onstage confidence that's super attractive tbh.

Also Cheongdam Keytchen is one of the best shows I've watched. He invited celebrities, some of which were his good friends, cooked for them and had a really interesting conversations, switching between funny and deep topics.

Key used to wake up early in the morning to cook or heat Taemin's meals before he go to school, he also ironed his clothes. Key is a responsible person who always took care of Taemin like his own brother, and I'm sure he's thankful for that ^^

I recommend looking into his vocals - especially in this latest album! I don't think that this introductory video actually does a good job of showing how good he is and explaining how his versatility is one of the lynchpins to their music. He can fill any role from rap, main vocal line and super sweet harmonies.

Everyone definitely needs a friend like Key in their life ♥️ He's effortlessly hilarious but so caring ♥️ He always does his best in everything he does. That's why the title Almighty suits him so much.

Thank you for reacting to this. Key is an amazing person. He puts his mind to a project and goes all in. He has such a funny and engaging personality. His interactions with Min Ho crack me up. I’ve watched some of his cooking programmes and he’s a confident cook. He’s also daddy to the sweetest doggies. He’s down to earth yet extra. I don’t think he realises how talented he is.

Key is seriously very versatile. And I feel like often underestimates himself, saying how he isn't sure if they deserve all the love or awards they get - but his doubts really have no ground. Dude knows 3 languages, he has a great sense of humor, has an insane memory, he sings, he dances, he is a fashionista and pretty much a chef at this point,. On top of that, he is probably the most handsome dude I have ever seen. hah I actually know about Shinee cause he was in the Thumbnail all pretty and I had to click it. Looking at him is like looking at the sunrise. It's not the kind of beauty you thirst over, it's the kind of beauty that's pure visuals you just can't look away from. I cannot imagine a time when he was unpopular. Also, he and Minho are overlooked as singers, but they are both incredible. Just... in a Group with Jonghyun and Jinki, it's not easy to take the first place.

Back at it again with my scheduled re-watch of Sir Austin's Shinee reactions and (esp as a Key bias since forever) I just want to comment how much it means that you mentioned Key's voice as the FIRST thing you noticed while new to Shinee. I've been a fan of Shinee for a LONG time and I remember how rare it felt as a Key fan to hear positive comments and opinions on his voice, especially in the earlier days. Obviously he's so much more than that, and as a fan, I support him as a 3-dimensional person: for being talented, smart, and wonderful. Still, it means a lot to my little OG Shinee stan/Key-bias heart that you heard and appreciated his voice and talent with just a few videos/songs in front of you. So, thanks for that.

Indeed! They used to do skits and comment on the kpop trends in their early days before they started getting really popular & then had exclusive interviews with some idols before their move to Japan. Unfortunately they're no longer really active with videos anymore since they've recently split. They used to sell merch with puns from their skits/vids & one of their faves was TaeMAN once Taemin started to get older and mature haha.
