This is my part 3 session of learning how to ride a motorcycle. I'm still just riding around the neighborhood learning proper riding technique before I go out into heavier traffic.

I find this to be kind of crazy but I bought my first bike a month ago, I rode it all the way home for about 30 mins and had never ridin a sport bike or any bike for that matter before. I bought all the right gear I needed, Practiced in the parking lot for about 10 mins and then took off. Now that I think about it really wasn't a good idea to do so but I will say I did feel like it came natural to me. I didn't stall it one time and rode perfect all the way home. Riding bikes does run in the family so maybe I've got some god given talent haha. I've been driving a manual for the last 6 years so I think that really helped as well. I bought a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 300 and its purple which I also love. Anyways great vids brotha and keep up the good work!

If you are at slow speed pull the clutch in then brake. If you are at a high speed you can hold the brakes first then pull the cluth in beforr it stalls on you

You have to use the throttle when you downshift to make the exhaust engine roar and stop naturally without the need of the brake

Ninja 300 is a great bike for new riders. Why?clutch very light and a slipper too. Slipper? It mean the bike will not stall even when not in correct gear. Lastly it is low and light enough for all size riders. Lastly it is indestructible.

You can do clutchless shifting on a motorcycle, but don't bother. Up is a lot more simple than down. Put pressure on the shift lever with your foot, snap off throttle. Again, don't bother. ;P Always use the clutch shifting up and down

I feel like when I shift without the clutch, the bike jerks more dramatically. Could be because I'm not going fast enough cause I'm currently just riding my neighborhood... But I def prefer always pulling the clutch when shifting up or down

If you're in the last gear, you won't be able to get any faster once you hit the rev limit. In the 300, your top speed is about 110 so you don't have to worry much

Looking better. Get the service manual, and there are KZread videos on the clutch adjustments. I keep a couple of fingers laying on the clutch lever, people disagree on doing that with the brake lever. There is engine braking when downshifting, and in an emergency stop you don't want to be in a high gear when stopped, need to practice those. Clutch before brake (learned to drive stick, you can brake a little, just you are wearing them out), and don't brake (hard)!in turn or while turning, if you can't straighten out in an emergency stop in a turn and brake (too hard) it goes down. (See below) And don't get in the practice of putting your feet down on those white stripes, they could be as slick as snot. Really smart to do the hood instead of traffic. Have fun and be safe. Wanted to add, "trail braking," I not sure that is what you're doing, but look it up, so actually what you are doing might be close to it, very light then roll on throttle. See mcrider videos on that "trail braking."
