Finally, I’ve figured out how to get the high gloss finish I’ve desired on my stabilized wood handled knives. It’s all in the compounds!

Great post. Thank you!
Thanks for taking it step by step. New to buffing at this stage in my knife making and its kinda scary doing something that could mess up my hard work. But now I know! Thanks.
Thanks
Love those 'aha' moments! Keep up the good works 👍

That's a great knife man 👍 I just found your channel and you do a fantastic job
This is great, I'm looking to get a buffer in the relatively near future and will keep these compounds in mind... that finish looks fantastic.

So does it require a top coat? Bees wax, boiled linseed, tung oil etcetera?

Use tru-oil.
Which compound do you use? Can you add the url of it?
Can you leave a link to the 2 compounds you used in the description?
What wheel you use for the white compound? Good job thanks
Great video...thanks for making....do you have a web site? The Wing Man I am interested in buying.
When will the wingman be in the catalog?

hdfbrider32 I need to take the time to get my website updated. Currently taking orders manually via Facebook messenger and Instagram DMs. Just let me know if I can help!
Jesse where do you find the lanyard hole brass with that large of an inside diameter? Great video!

Do you find that the liners are necessary? Are they really just for look or is there a purpose besides appearance?

There for looks as well as serve in creating a better bond between the knife steel and the handle material.
Does buffing protect the handle?

No, just purely for a nice slick and shiny finish
What about the black residue on the scales? I noticed that your buffing wheels were turning very black also. How did you address that?

Residue rubs right off. No way to avoid the wheels turning black that I had found.

I think you had some crab left in the brass hole and it came out while buffing.
Be careful not to burn the wax
