    _ @davidhicks8613 Let me start by saying thanks for saying hello and many thx for reaching out. Looking back if there was one thing I would have done different and saved a lot of headaches was to have had a better understanding of basic IT fundamentals. Before I even tried to wrap my mind around things that this guy does and at the level of expertise he implements his hacking tools and moreso his strategy he puts together before he even hacks into something. In other words to say, if you already have a solid understanding of the digital landscape in front of you, and in most likelihood whats going to be waiting for you around the corner you cannot see yet your chances of hacking into or taking control of something increase exponentially, Where as I had and understanding of what the principles meant behind some of these hacking tools but didn't understand what it was I was hacking in to which made it difficult. If that made any sense,

  • @Xenon777channel

    @Xenon777channel

    Жыл бұрын

    @Christina Smith - Technically it's " Fan flippin' 'tastic " with two apostrophes in a row. As the - g is removed from flipping, and the fan - is removed from fantastic, so you're supposed to write " Fan flippin' 'tastic ". Then we venture on to examples such as " until ", where there's a very common: 'till now. Instead of: 'ntil now. Also yea I get that in youtube, there's a style to skip punctuation. With a one sentence answer in youtube, then people tend to skip capitalization and punctuation. However when there's multiple sentences, then we start " proper sentences ". Ok, back to the video... this guy is showing us proxy chains, VPN, Tor.... All of that. Ok so how about keylogger softwares, FinSpy Finfisher, Pegasus, NSA type of surveillance, and wide-reaching police raids reported in the news, where the police suddenly arrest hundreds of people buying stuff via Tor in the darknet? He doesn't cover any of that, so he's basically a comedian talking about VPN. Like... something works or it doesn't. If the info received is within x laws of x country, so it's lawful info. Or B) The info seized is not within the laws of x country, so it's unlawful info, so they 'pretend' they don't have the info as it's unlawful obtainature of info... so they pretend they 'are not receiving the info'.. or C) We have the info, although it's unlawful obtainature... so we can't act on it. Ok in C, then ... Isn't it better to lay facts on the table as they are, rather than waiting for laws to change? Which laws? For example I'm in Australia, a country which has already been criticized for far too lenient data laws, as per this article: "Australia’s vague anti-encryption law sets a dangerous new precedent Ben Wolford December 07, 2018" (Proton blog) "On Thursday, the Australian government and its Labor partners rammed a shockingly invasive anti-encryption law through Parliament". So if the A & A law is not sufficient and Australia is already criticized as too invasive, then what's the next law they're waiting for?

    @@nathanielb7296 No I don't write paragraphs and talk at the same time =). And btw how about you read the paragraph I wrote up there & comment on it. + If youtube had a search function " search all comments by user x " then hundreds of my youtube comments would be several paragraphs, yes. § Strangely, youtube doesn't have any search function of that nature. Hm, and if we went back in time to my earlier youtube days from 2006 to approximately 2014, then I wrote a lot of " 1 sentence answers " back then, which often received 50 likes, 100 likes, even more than 200 likes rarely. However in recent years, it's almost always 1 or 2 likes as the 'ceiling', with only 1 comment having around 12 likes... so, that's a little strange...... ( + something which would be clearly visible in the " search all comments by user x " function ... that the likes 'go off a cliff' at x date & time.* (=^・^=)Y *I can only speculate that it has something to do with the Syrian war, and a lot of my comments such as " Russia and China should handle this. "... although that war is in the past now. + I can't start a new account from zero、 as I've already had this one since 2006 so it's like all integral with over 1000 saved videos, in neat folders. Actually, " that search all comments by user x " function doesn't exist outside of youtube either. It would be useful to show the statistical change like " This user had 50 likes+ on these comments every week, then over the next x years only 1 or 2 likes. ", which is similar to the current claims of " Twitter shadowbanning ", and also some interviews with slightly famous people. For example, on August 6th in an interview with Tomi Lahren, Felice Herrig says in the interview [It's in her IG ul'd Aug. 6th] that her Instagram views went from around 20,000 down to 900, " How does that happen? ", suspecting that it's a 'covert shadowban'. So like, she 'did something wrong' or 'has the wrong opinions' and then they lessen her views a.k.a. " Do not amplify " as it was called within Twitter staff sections. Another one is Bombard's Body Language a.k.a. Body Language Ghost, she actually showed in a video that she was shadowbanned from another PC, where her videos didn't show up in any of the search results from the other PC, even via searching for the exact title of the video! So, if I was placed on the 'youtube do-not-amplify (anti amplify?) list' in 2014, due to Syrian war comments... the war there is over so it's not relevant anymore. Fox News exposed Twitter's " secret backdoors to government agencies " a few days ago.... A mess!

    Great quality video as always. One really big note of caution here is that web proxies proxy web traffic (80, 443 and 53 if you’re careful). They do NOT proxy other protocols (ports) - your attempted SSH connection will be logged coming directly from your real IP, for instance. Certain unfortunate TOR users have learned this lesson the hard way. BTW, I really like the challenge feature. Looking forward to more, technical brother.

It's a starting point meant to get you familiar with the basics and get you some real world exp. I think it was good on RickW to point out that it's basics and nothing you need to be implementing right now, without the full knowledge you'll gain through school and messing around (with permision). Trying things and messing up and learning are the best ways sometimes. EVERYONE who watched this video and is LEARNING needs to understand that they are LEARNING and don't use what you gained from this for anything other than getting exp and having fun with it. be ethical!!

    To make absolutely sure you don't get picked up on radar, you should add rules to IP Tables that block outbound traffic to everything but the proxy... That way if you forget to add the proxychains cmd, or to specify a proxy address in a tool, the traffic just gets blocked locally as opposed to your lighting up the logs on the target with your actual IP. A downstream firewall works fine for this too. But something should be in place policing the traffic. All it takes is 1 packed to get out and all your other effort is for not...

    Initial thoughts as I am halfway through your video and this is the first time I have ever seen one of your videos. I am the type of person who enjoys learning, but I have found the cyber security path to be a challenging learning experience. Most people are so pompous of their talents that they flaunt their array of common vernacular and just talk in acronyms. That being said, thank you for actually going step-by-step and even explaining the "dumb/easy" parts. I will definitely be subscribing and I look forward to more videos.

    Question: What is the difference between proxy chaining and using multiple VPNs? Say VPNs through different (and correctly chosen) countries? Do the proxies change more frequently WHILE you are working? Whereas, you would have to actively disconnect and reconnect each VPN to accomplish this same task? Do you recommend two VPNs in an aforementioned manner in ADDITION to proxies chaining servers in Kali Linux?

    I had just finished my last exam today to get my SOC alert analyst certification. This is only my first year of InfoSec education, and I feel I might have imposter syndrome already. I lost some of my spark and enthusiasm for getting into this after having done all my courses this year online- I may have gotten 3 A's and a B, but I feel _drained_ and like I don't know as much as I need. Three of my classes didn't even have a lecture, I basically just read the textbooks all year. But this video I found of yours gave me a small bit of that yearning to learn and remember how fun the concepts sound. Even after having just endured a grueling year of quarantine education, I'm already going out of my way to get into learning more. Thanks for giving me that- Subscribed, and I hope I learn more through your channel (and others) about ethical hacking!
