Learning Clutch Control On ANY Motorcycle In 5 Minutes (Feat. Kawasaki ZZR1400 / ZX-14R)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Welcome to our motorcycle clutch control video. In todays episode, we go over the technique in our original tutorial video, and how the same can be used on bigger motorcycles also. For your own safety, NEVER learn to ride on a motorcycle bigger than 400cc! Motorcycles are incredibly fast machines, even the smaller ones, so take your time, and look forward to the day when you're ready to ride motorcycles such as the epic Kawasaki ZZR1400 / ZX-14R!

I agree that most bikes can move in idle, however from my experience 125cc motorcycles tend to stall if you try this on even the slightest uphill gradient. I live in India where you don't often see motorcycles with displacements larger than 150cc. I learnt to drive on a little 98cc bike which had next to no torque. That thing would stall even on flat ground without a little bit of gas. So, while I believe the technique you preach may help many, I think you need to place more emphasis on the fact that sometimes, especially on smaller displacement motorcycles it might be necessary to give it some gas while releasing the clutch.

I have a video demonstrating the same technique on my wife's 125, it works exactly the same way, just a little harder to perform. But if you can do it on a 125, you can clutch control on any bike 👍

On my Honda rebel, 125 total clutch control is possible. I use this method in my u turns.

My little CB125F is chronic for "false neutrals" if you're not purposeful with the gear change. I've seen a lot of advice about "rocking" the bike to get it back into gear but I've found it much easier just to feather the clutch out and blip the throttle. Ironically I've taught myself how to deliberately cause a "false neutral" so I can practice recovering just in the driveway. I find rocking the bike to be a harder technique, but I wonder if this is also something that translates into bigger bikes. Should I just be practicing to rock, or is my technique going to work on bigger bikes, too?

Greetings from Brooklyn, NY! Thank you so much for these lessons, as soon as I pick up my Kawasaki Z900rs I will practice mastering the clutch! :P. You just got a new subscriber. Perhaps oneday you can give a tutorial on city riding? Just basing on your experience and how you scan the roads and intersections.

@@tigeurrilla Yes I have, but my main focus is slow maneuvers. Jerry Palladino and MotoJitsu are the best. I will be taking my 2nd MSF course the 1st week of April. The 1st time I took the MSF course, I did great on the first day but on the 2nd they did not mention slow manuevers. The instructors were terrible, but at least I realized that I need to work on the slow maneuvers. I will nail it, can't wait to get my motorcycle license. For now, I'm riding around a few blocks on a permit :P Hooligan me LOL!

Dude, that is not Clutch Control. That is just using the clutch to shift gears. Clutch control is keeping the clutch in the friction zone with a little bit of throttle during slow speed maneuvering. I'm not trying to be an smarta$$ or anything, but I would recommend you watch some videos on slow speed maneuvering by MotoJitsu and McRider. They are masters of the trade...

motojitsu is one of the worse always banging on about "in the twisties" "trail braking" what new riders need to learn and what good teachers will learn them is to use the friction zone of the clutch around a tight corner to maintain speed and help them keep the line in which they are heading rather than letting the throttle control them and end up on the other side of the road.
