God bless you so much sir. Loving your videos. But could you please do more of your videos on Key C since it’s the most common. Thanks sir

Not gonna happen, if you only play in C then my videos would be above your level. Try and learn your keys as it is the basic requirement to playing by ear

How did you do it? I am in the same journey and would be interested about your journey perhaps you have some resources you can direct me to. Am good on simple progressions on all keys, like 1-4-5-2-5-7-1 but when it gets complex like 6ths, 7ths, 13ths etc and progressions like 7-3-6-2-5 etc.....trouble nah

Start playing learning from the hardest keys or learn from Bmajor chromatically, leave C alone for now 😂
That album is definitely a major staple in my currently playing style to date. There is much to learn from Aaron Lindsey.

Good stuff as usual Sean! Love that part of the song because it feels like Aaron takes you to another part of the show that you didn’t know you were going too! Great breakdown on melodic move in A! Thanks for doing it. Keep them coming!
Class is in session everybody, better grab a pen, paper and your keyboard to add this to your vocabulary. Aaron Lindsey has such an interesting choice of chords, and I bet he holds back because he will lose us all (especially on Marvin Sapp's stuff, it's not right what he is doing there. 😂) Another great video doc, gonna be playing this over till I get it right.

Im gonna need you to do a vid specifically on that choir singing unison = chord becomes free while keeping melody note concept. You did it on the "wonderful TO (usison) me" part of this vid. Thats a loaded concept right i wish youd expound on. Im always looking at where the song is going . Lets say its going to a 4. My mind automatically thinks passing chord of 1.. or 3 of the 1.. or tritone sub of the 1.. or 5. But all these make sense to me and have almost become dry. I want to know how to incorporate the roots that dont naturally make sense to me. If i had to be specific, id say #1, #2, #5, and b7 as passing or even sub chords. Most musicians know when they here something nasty, but grasping, disecting, and incorporating that concept is another thing altogether. The reason why im asking is bc i rarely get tired of playing songs. But i do get tired of playing the same arrangement of a song. Food without spice = something aint right.

You have a really good ear...
Marvelous video👍 like your way of explaining and showing the chords and melodies... keep on the good work🙏 I had one thought about explaining the last ”A major scale” since the song is moving in a 2-5-1 progression in the end of the example, one can always use the ”1” scale (A major in this case) on this whole progression. Maybe this can contribute in some way. Be blessed brother😀

how did you come up or arrive at the C (perfect 5th ) in the bass and B perfect 5th. to start with?
Are they not using the CMaj9(13) because it is a tritone of the F# minor chord they ending on?
That 'My' is sweet
How can you can hear chords and instantly play them note for note...

Hi! I really need your help on a chord that’s confusing me. ‘Worship the king James fortune ‘ especially the beginning part plz help me out
I love you 😘
So Sean, what makes you think of playing the minor 9 off of the C# when the chord is an E? Are you thinking of putting a 6th and building the min 9th off of that? (since C# isn't in the E major chord?) Awesome sound, but not very intuitive to me.
Is it applicable on lead guitar Sir. Kindly put the lead guitarist into consideration too in other lessons Sir. Thanks so much Sir. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Can you please do these chords in C sharp
why did you play a perfect 5th on c sharp to ground the chord in the beginning?

Love the videos, My only one request is to also add in the key of C, and I know you probably hear this many times, but it helps even beginners visualise the shapes, and attempt to understand such intermediate and advanced breakdowns haha. although i AM COMPLETLY GRATEFUL for this breakdown no complaints. Great Lesson
I play the verse : 2x Emaj7 D#7(#5#9) Bm7 - E6(9) AM7 E/B G#m7 C#7b9 F#m7 B7b9 the chorus 2x F#m7/B -> E A/E D#m7 G#7(b9) C#m7 F#6(9) B9(13) EM7 AM7
Why not break down that it’s practically a 6-5-4(mj7 or 1 ) -2 dim why not mention that the cmaj 7 chord goes into the lockrian e scale, no hate but the best way I learnt was learning the modes
