Magic with one prop? Gotta go with a thumb tip. Such a versatile and nowadays overlooked prop. Too many people automatically assume it’s used just for silks. Yet you can produce anything from salt to a live gold fish.

I love this color change. I have found that a small upjog is unnecessary so long as you just give the deck a bit of an upward bevel (meaning the card facing you is beveled up, and the ones behind it go incrementally downward) - it helps keep the front card more flush with the card behind it. Also, applying pressure with the left thumb and having the rest of the left hand give the deck a concave pressure obviates the need to move the thumb up. Just some things I have found that made it work for me. Thank you Jay for the amazing trick! (Btw I first saw this on your DVD Hypervisual, such good stuff in there 👍🏼👍🏼)

I was thinking about your question and the first thing that popped into my noggin was something that is always available and seemingly impossible to gimmick. So, that leaves very little to work with. But then it hit me, it would be amazing to be able to magic with air. Maybe different colors (insert color prediction for mentalism) or maybe be able to predict a word or a card selection into the air. Like have folks wonder “Is he able to alter the structure of air molecules?”

Hey Sankey (and the team) had another idea this time to help with the subscriber count rather than a contest entry. A certain vegas duo once created a video segment of a news broadcast that had a card reveal. It'd be really cool to have a youtube version where a coin (or similar size object) is taken from the performers hand into the video playing on a phone and returned by dropping it through the bottom of the screen. Like many of magic enthusiast I like passing on knowledge ESPECIALLY if it's an easy trick that gets others interested in learning on their own. I'd certainly use the video and hopefully other subs would too which would hopefully land y'all some views and new subs that'll stick around. Excuse the essay!

Don't know if that's count as a prop but I'm a sucker for magic tricks using my own body. Like extending my thumb, unravel my arms, taking away my thumb etc... for adults it's often very obvious what I'm doing (... not in all of those tricks thought...) but it's fun to watch and fun to perform so I guess... if I had to choose only one thing I would keep those magic tricks over those with ropes or things like that.
