It is my custom to ask questions on the newest video. It helps your ratings I believe. My question is about Italian however. If you would rather I only comment on your Italian videos, that's what I'll do in the future. This is what I'm curious about. Piacere. I've been told it means, nice to meet you. But now I'm learning that per piacere means please?!😳🤔🤦‍♂️🤷

Hi 😊 grazie mille per i commenti. Feel free to comment wherever you want. Regarding your question, it depends on the context 😊 - piacere = pleasure / nice to meet you. For example: “Ciao, mi chiamo Maria. Piacere!” - Hi, my name is Maria. Nice to meet you! - piacere = please / favour. For example “Mi passi quel bicchiere, per piacere?” - could you pass me that glass, please? - You can also use “piacere” in an ironic way “ma fammi il piacere / ma per piacere”. For example: “Maria ha mangiato 15 pizze. Ma fammi il piacere” - Maria ate 15 pizzas. Come me, give me a break! I hope this helps 😊

@@LanguageswithGeorgianaI guess I keep trying to frame things in my mind. For example with this, I can see how using piacere, as please or pleasure fits most cases. In an ironic way I have said like in your example if someone told me that Maria ate 15 pizzas, I could have said, please. Meaning, I don't believe it. It's funny. I often find myself thinking, but this Italian word means so many things! But with some thinking I can find plenty of English words I use for many different things too.

Thank you! 😊 What does “russo” mean though? In Italian it means Russian but this is Romanian.
