I hope young and new chess players really appreciate what they are being freely given. Daily access to a GM of your caliber is insane. That’d be like Kasparov or Fischer streaming daily chess content when I was a kid. The only daily chess content that we got when I was a kid was the daily chess puzzle in the newspaper.

@@tusharmuraliold technically he is is as good as Magnus, is just that when they are playing at their best, Magnus finds the extremely small edge he has and wins the game (only in slow games). There is no way Magnus can give better advice (or viceversa) to a 2k player than Hikaru, on that front I would say that even Hikaru has the upper hand as he understand better that kind of players. Anyway, not even Hikaru or Magnus or Aronian, I will go and say that even someone like Narodistky is better at explaining GM strategy to us mortals and that information has even more value to 99.99% of chess players.

@@tusharmuraliold I also disagree. Hikaru is at the level of any chess player that ever played the game. I mean, he reached 2800, he stoped as he found a career on streaming, and that is when he started being the fastest player.

@@tusharmuraliold my comparison was centered on content and availability. Basically you can insert ANY GM’s name you want from yesteryear and put his or her name in my original comment and it would be relevant bc the Chess content available today litterally didn’t exist 35 years ago when I learned how to play. I just stated 2 Chess GM’s names who I thought the entire comment section would know who I was referring to. There was no comparison in game quality; but rather the simple fact that this sort of content even exists.
