It's time for West Coast Volume 2! Do you teach the rest of the licks you play in this video on your website?
Oreos!!!
Magically delicious!
I think im in over my head!!Im loving and wanting to understand ,are you using a major pentatonic scale, where are the target notes and wich position of the scale are you using ??May be to advanced for me...damn!!I could copy and just learn it but i want to be able to apply it in other situations!! I love your lessons!!Thanks

Hi - most of the basic licks are derived from the Major Pentatonic scale (F). I usually mix these with a bit of the Blues Scale. I hope this helps.
This has more than it looks. Your material and teaching are nothing like any others around. Do you have a lesson on what you play between I-IV transition as well ?

Hi there - I usually outline the ii-V chord to take us back to Bbmaj7. I have a lesson pack on my website where I show some licks in this style. Thanks again

Hi Damon - I'd have to locate this one on an old hard drive. If I find it, I'll drop you a line
I actually like the music you are playing more than Larry Carlton's because it sounds more pop and fluid. People keep saying this type of music is what Larry Carlton does - I just can't see/hear that. Are there other influences that you are incorporating inside. Need to get to the bottom of this as I love the music. Thanks.

I suppose there is a bit of R&B influence in this track. That and simple pop music. Glad you like it. Check out Larry's playing with the Crusaders. You might like that
